Y/N's POV

Warning: mild language

I don't know what's going on.

I hate not having any control in a situation.

I fight back the rising anxiety attack and run away from Peter and the gigantic water monster in the canal. I try to control my breathing while I grab Ned and Betty (they're a thing now?!), but honestly, I couldn't think about anything other than the fact that Peter is in danger.

He needs your help, so toughen up and go!

"Ethan! Brad!" I let go of Ned and Betty, trading them out for my intellectually-challenged brother and his equally idiotic friend. Yeah, I spent nine hours sitting with him on the plane; the best thing he's got going for him is his looks. Anyway, I grab the two of them and the three of us run for cover.

We find Mr. Harrington and Mr. Dell along with a couple other students, including Flash Thompson. With his cellphone out. Filming the disaster. For views on Instagram, no doubt.

"Eugene Thompson, I swear to everything good, if you don't put that damn phone away, I'll feed it and you to the water monster!" I screech at the idiot next to me. I hear Harry cackling and MJ clapping. I think even Mr. Dell laughed.

I honestly didn't intend to come off that intense, but who gives a shawarma? I most certainly don't, given the current state of things.

"I'd put it away, man," Ethan advises.

"Yeah, your sister's scary," he pockets the device. And to think, when I first came to Midtown he was hitting on me.

"Damn right, I am," I mumble, and Harry gives me that look. The one that says, "I saw you with Peter, you got some explaining to do later."

"Who's that?" Flash points up at the sky towards a shimmery, golden figure, clouded by green fog. Is that a fish bowl on his head?

You know, I wish I could say this is the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

There's one thing that I do know, and that's that this dude is not Peter.

Where is he? He better not have done anything stupid...

"Y/N, are you okay?"

"Of course I'm okay, why wouldn't I be okay?" I snap at Brad. Oops. Well, not really, but maybe I need to tone it down a little?

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Ethan signal to Brad to give me some space. Hallelujah.

I sneak away from the group, around the corner to try to find Peter. I get soaked in the process, but that doesn't really matter. I run through the flooded streets, helping as many people as I can on the way.

I feel like giving up when I hear the sound of a bell ring. I look up to see where it came from, to find the clock tower, falling over. Only suspended by a semi-transparent white rope-ish thing.

Could you be more conspicuous, Pete?

Before I can see him, hear someone call my name.

"God, Y/N, are you insane!" Harry comes running after me, grabbing me and pulling me back towards the group.

I offer little resistance as he pulls me along towards the fallen awning we've conglomerated underneath.

"Harry!" MJ runs to meet us. "Y/N!" She hugs me quickly, then Harry, rather less quickly. Actually, they're still hugging. I kind of feel like Harry Potter in the Deathly Hallows, when Ron and Hermione finally profess their feelings for each other right in the middle of the Battle of Hogwarts. Only, these two idiots are still in denial.
