When I woke up in Trevor’s bed I was surrounded by worried faces.
I looked around to see Kristen and Matt hovering over me, with Darrien and Abigail in the corner sitting on the loveseat Trevor and I almost shared our first kiss.
Kristen noticed my confusion about Darrien. “He insisted on coming. You know, with the baby and all,” she added the last part in a whisper.
I groaned, and that’s when I realized I could breathe comfortably. I looked down to see I was in a male sweatshirt and some shorts. Kristen quickly cleared things up. “Those are Trevor’s clothes. I suggested we change you out of the dress because that was most-likely the cause of you passing out. And, don’t be mad, but Trevor and Darrien changed you.”
My eyes widened in shock. Darrien was never supposed to see my body again and Trevor, he hasn’t seen anything. I lifted my shirt to look at my stomach. Yep, there was definitely a small baby bump there. I began to panic, remembering the baby and hoping me passing out did not hurt him.
“Cassidy, calm down,” Kristen told me as I started breathing quicker. Darrien rushed to my other side.
“What’s wrong,” he asked.
“Cassidy’s worried about her health,” Kristen told him, but Darrien knew what she meant.
Just then, Trevor came into his room. “Your mother is on her way, Cass.”
I don’t know if it was his presence, or the news he brought with him that instantly calmed down. “Thank you,” I responded.
Kristen looked at me incredulously. “What,” I questioned her.
“That’s what I want to know,” she countered. My pounding head stopped my curiosity from searching.
“May I have some water,” I asked Trevor.
“Of course,” he answered, handing me a glass from his bedside table. I blushed at how I felt about his preparedness. It showed that he cared and was ready to help me. Kristen looked at me strangely, and I shrugged.
“You must be in love,” Kristen whispered in my ear.
I gave her a questioning look back.
Love? In love? Could I be? I remember how I felt with Darrien, but it never felt like this. Darrien gave me butterflies and made my heart feel like it would explode but Trevor, it was so natural with him. What I felt with him was more of an energy – like a hum. An intoxicating hum that I never wanted to end because it made me feel everything that is good and right.
Just when I was about to delve more into my thoughts, the doorbell rang. “It must be your mom,” Trevor noted. “I’ll go let her in.”
“We’re going to the hospital,” Darrien told me.
“Isn’t that a little extreme,” Abigail asked.
“Since when do you care,” I asked Darrien, ignoring Abigail.
“I’ve always cared. You broke up with me remember? I still l-”
“Don’t,” I cut him off. “Please just don’t.”
Just then, my mother walked into the room. “Baby, are you okay? Come on, I’m taking you to the hospital.”
“Thank you,” Darrien mumbled, earning himself a glare from me.
“I can go,” Trevor offered.
“No way,” I countered. “I’ve already messed up your night as it is.”
Trevor came across the room and grabbed my hand. “You can never mess up my night, Cass.” I blushed at his confession. I tugged his hand, pulling him closer. It looked like he was about to kiss me but we both knew I had to ask him a private question. “Is it because you got to undress me,” I laughed.
This time, Trevor blushed. “Of course not,” he said, and then he looked at me in a way that made everyone else in the room disappear and I knew if it wouldn’t hurt me, he wouldn’t mind me passing out from too-tight clothes in his presence all of the time. The witnesses of our little moment were awkwardly quiet.
“Okay, Trevor, help me get Cassidy to the car,” my mom said. I was going to object and tell him I could walk by myself when Trevor lifted me up bridal style.
“I’m coming to the hospital too,” Kristen said behind us.
“I don’t want anyone coming to the hospital,” I said. “You all have wasted enough time with me already. Now can you all do me a favor and at least act like your prom night wasn’t ruined?” Everyone started to object but my mom agreed which finally settled everyone down.
“Do you mind dropping me off at my house since it’s on the way to the hospital,” Darrien asked. “I rode here with Kristen and Matt.”
“Sure, Darrien,” my mom agreed. I suppressed the urge to roll my eyes and buckled my seatbelt.
After an hour of silence between me, my mom, and Darrien – who had no intentions of going home to begin with – a nurse finally called my name to be seen.
Being the overdramatic mother and father of my child, my mom and Darrien made me sit in a wheelchair, so Darrien pushed me to the designated room. The nurse handed me a hospital gown to change into and asked me a lot of questions. Her eyes widened when I told her I was pregnant and I needed to see a special doctor and she glanced at my stomach. “Dr. Grey will be in here shortly,” she informed.
Except Dr. Grey was not the next person I saw. Instead, it was another nurse who took me to the room to take my measurements. After another twenty minutes the door opened.
I sighed in relief that the doctor was finally here, but was very disappointed when I saw the man was wearing dress shoes. I groaned and looked at the man, but I was not expecting to see my father.

Hi! I hope you liked this really short chapter, and I promise I will update again soon (:
Also, I wanted Trevor to find out the news in this chapter but I changed my mind because then I would have to end the story and there would be too many lose ends.
I hope none of you forgot about Cassidy's father. But here he is again! Is it for good this time?
Wait for me to update and you'll find out! (:
Don't forget to comment, vote and share.
