Chapter 16

"Guys!!!" I yelled walking into Calum's room where everyone had gathered today. it's a random place each day. "I got us a gig!!!"

We always talk about getting gigs and stuff but nobody's really done anything so I took it upon myself.

"Are you serious!" Luke yelled

"You are bloody amazing!!!" Calum shouted.

"Umm Michael, what are you doing" I said when Michael wrapped his arms around me and picked me up "Michael! Put me down!!!"

"What's going on up there!" Calum's mum yelled.

"Nothing mum!" Calum yelled back.

"Not true! Michael's gone crazy!" I yelled back and Michael let me go but there was no response. I heard a small chuckle though.

"When's the gig?" Luke asked me with anticipation.

"In two weeks! We defiantly have to play your song Luke!" Everyone agreed on that one. Luke looked a bit nervous about it though.

"I also have some more news" I said less excitedly. "mum found a house and we will be moving out soon"

"I don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing because I love living with ya but a man need his space" Luke said and then everyone gave him a weird look. "what?" He asks and we laugh.

"Let's go work on the song!" I say loudly "we have a gig, practice is needed now"

"Yes sir!" They all say together.

"Who put the new guy in charge" Michael whined as we walked out of the room.

"I wanna sleep!" Michael whined

"We are just gonna go through the song once more and then you can sleep" luke said patting him on the back.

"But I don't wanna sleep"" Michael stated contradicting himself.

"What if we suck and get booed off stage or something?" Calum asked and I sighed. we were all worried and excited at the same time.

"We won't" I said also trying to convince myself. "Okay! One more time!"

We played through our set and then decided to play again even though we kept on saying just one more time. we wanted it to be absolutely amazing. but it's our first gig so we won't get our hopes up.

"I'm hungry! We should go to Macca's!" Calum said and we all agreed.

Since it wasn't that far we decided to walk so I could save money on petrol. I needed to find a new job soon.

"Cheese burger! Cheeseburgers!" Michael was singing as we were walking along the path.

"If you don't shut up I will eat your damn cheeseburger" calum told him and Michael instantly went quiet.

We got to McDonald's and there was a group of people sitting there from my old school "can we go" I said quietly not wanting them to spot us but it was too late.

"Hey! Ashton!" One of them yelled and stood up. They soon made there way over to us and the others all of a sudden had murderous looks on there faces. "whats it like to be an only child?" He asked with a grin and I snapped.

I went to grab his neck but the guys pulled me back. "I still have Lauren" I snarled at them.

"But it's not like she's around now is it?" They said and they all erupted in laughter "I heard you guys have yourself a gig, can't wait"

And with that they walked away leaving a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach.

"How do words like that even escape someone lips" Calum said.

"I'm not hungry anymore" I said and I was telling the truth. All I felt like doing was throwing up.

I'm so sorry it took so long to update and that its so short. I feel really bad. I've just got a new job and I'm getting ready for college. I'll try and update whenever I can though :) xoxo Zoe
