Mr. Wright laughed hard as he listened to Amanda express herself in the interview. This surprised Tony who sat across from Amanda at the conference table for he knew all she did was avoiding the real question she was asked.
Tony noticed Amanda was playing on the Chairman's common sense which was odd because he had always known the Chairman to be an impervious man. This angered Tony so much, his head was in discord.
Amanda had never worked in any type of company before, she had no concrete knowledge about business except playing the role of a business woman or a secretary in a movie, which, at this point, she planned to use the ideas from her business movies as her strategy in reality.
In reality, the only other job she engaged in, aside acting, was assisting her dad in his gym but that wasn't something she wanted Mr. Wright to know so, she locked that information in the safest part of her sub conscious instead.
"So Miss Amanda, are you aware that the position you applied for is a secretary position?" Tony asked again, perusing through her résumé with the intention of avoiding her stiff glare.
"Yes, I'm aware." She Swiftly replied.
"According to your résumé, you literally have not worked as a secretary before."
"Well, em-"
"You have no working experience at all." He added, interrupting her.
"Uh, I work. I'm not an idle citizen, I have a successful career. I'm an actress remember?" She defended her reputation immediately. Amanda felt the fuse box in her brain flicker. Was this man trying to call her lazy?
"This is reality not one of your movies, Miss." He said, aiming to hide his fury. "You have no experience being a secretary and you basically don't even know what they do." He looked her straight in the eye this time. Matching a glare with glare, he already had started to dislike her.
"Don't ruin this for me, angry man. I so pray he's not the one I'll have to work for. What's his problem." She said hopefully to herself.
Tony realized that his plans will come to ruin if she was employed. It was too expensive to risk so, he tried everything to make Mr. Wright see reasons why she was not qualified for the job.
"For experience, a girl has to start somewhere right? And besides I did my homework." she said then faced Mr. Wright who was seated quietly, observing the whole thing and at the moment, contributing nothing.
"Homework?" Tony echoed.
"Yes!" she replied with a frown, trying to keep her cool.
"Your job is quite ordinary. All there is to do is to answer the phone, make appointment and very importantly, keep your Boss organize. Seeing that you've haven't even worked in a real business company before, I'm not sure you can handle that." He snorted.
