I'm so sorry I haven't updated. Schools had me stressed and I just haven't had the motivation to upload. I'm getting better and I'll try to update more often. Anyway, enough about me, enjoy the story!

I was on my way to Lord Diavolo's palace to see my best friend, and my amazing boyfriend. That's right, I was in a relationship with the royal butler Barbatos. I visited the palace often, being that the two supposedly enjoyed my company. Sometimes the brothers would even tag along, but mostly Lucifer because he just wanted to see Diavolo.

I finally completed my walk to the palace, and I opened the doors since Barbatos told me to just welcome myself in whenever I wanted to pay a visit and he couldn't open the doors himself. I had been in the Devildom for a few months now, but I still got lost in the large structure sometimes. I walked through the main hall and went straight to the kitchen, one of the few places here that I knew how to get to. I walked through the doorway and found exactly the person I was looking for. Barbatos seemed to be cooking dinner for Diavolo, the aromas of the meal floating around the kitchen.

He didn't seem to notice I was there, so I snuck up to him and hugged him from behind. "Hello my rose," he responded as he swiftly turned and hugged me back. "Hi Barbie, watcha cooking?" I asked as I looked behind him. "Just a simple dinner for my lord and myself, and could make you something too if you'd like?" "No no, I'm ok," I assured him.

I watched as he cooked, amazed by how skilled he was as he practically danced around the kitchen. His intellect rivaled Satan's, and his cooking rivaled Beel's and Lucifer's. Of course that wasn't all he was good at, but in my opinion he was the best at those. "(Y/N)," he said, interrupting my thoughts. "Are you staying for dinner? I'm sure my lord would be delighted to see you," he asked me. "Sure, let me just text the brothers so they don't freak out when I get home late."

After letting the brothers know I'd be home late I helped Barbatos carry the trays of food to the dining room, despite his protests of being capable of handling the task himself. "(Y/N)! What a pleasure to see you," the ever energetic demon greeted me. "It's nice to see you too Lord Diavolo," I responded with a laugh. Once all the trays were placed in their proper spots Barbatos and I took our seats on either side of Diavolo.

"It's been quite some time since you've visited, how have you been?" Diavolo asked to start conversation. "It's only been a week my lord, and I've been good." I responded. "I was going over your grades," he added. That made me freeze. To be completely honest I hadn't even checked my grades myself. I had no idea where I was academically. "You're one of the smartest students we have here at RAD (Y/N)! You have a GPA of 4.0 and straight A's. You're up there with Satan and Lucifer," he complimented. Barbatos smiled at me, and I just blushed out of embarrassment. "Thank you Lord Diavolo.

And so the night continued with Barbatos and Diavolo finishing their meals as they made small conversation with me, and I watched videos on my D.D.D. After dinner, I was in the kitchen helping Barbatos wash up the dishes. "I'm impressed my rose, I didn't know you were that smart." "Neither did I." I laughed. "I mean, I know I'm good at stuff like chess but I never really payed to much attention to my grades." I confessed. "You play chess? We should play sometime," Barbatos offered. "That'd be fun," I answered. "But don't get your hopes up, I doubt I'll be able to beat you." "You never know," he said.

After saying goodbye to Diavolo and giving Barbatos a kiss, I began to walk back to the House of Lamentation. I was excited for my game with Barbatos tomorrow, he had no idea how good I really was at chess. Before I came to the Devildom, I used to compete in tournaments for my school. I always placed in the top three, most of those placements being first.
