After having a hearty dinner, all of the men headed to the backyard. Dom stood lost in thoughts, his hair were dishevelled and his eyes appeared dull losing its spark.
His forehead was creased with jaw tightly clenched. From last ten minutes, his gaze was fixed at a spot.

Pursing his lips tightly, he combed his overgrown beard with his hands. His friends were anxious, too. But, Alexandre seemed quite edgy out of the three. He was extra concerned about Dom.

Looking at their worn out and distraught faces, Peter came forward. Patting Dom's back, he shook him up breaking his focus. He inquired, lovingly. "What is upsetting you, my child? Are you hiding something from me. All of you don't see happy, even after we got the spaceship."

Dom forced a smile on his face, although he didn't know how to mouth those words. Taking a deep breath, 'Chill man' his mind spilled. Regaining back the confidence, he spoke in deep but slow pace. So, that his every word would register properly in Peter's mind.

"The Pirates which we fought to, were not normal people. Sensing their power and recovery rate they belonged to another planet. And thank God, we killed them because they were from the enemies." He sighed scrutinizing Peter's reaction.

He was reflecting upon the situation in his mind having a blank look on his face. Then, he questioned Dom. "We had killed them, now why the worries? Your spaceship is being repaired, you can tackle them once you get back there."

Nodding his head, Dom exclaimed. "This was the thing I was worried about that How will I leave you guys? And what would I say to Valentina and Bell? Their reaction?
All of these things make me uneasy. Peter, I have to go back to my planet as soon as possible. It's going through lot of troubles."

Peter's eyes held unshed tears. Ya, they say Men don't cry. But they too have heart and emotions. It's just they hide it, burying in their heart. However big, a man is, he always remains a baby at heart yearning for a shoulder to hold on to.

Clearing his throat, the father inside him spoke. "Reality hits hard when we least expect. When you told us that you are from another planet, all of us knew that you will leave us one day. If our bond hadn't been that close, maybe I would have felt nothing.
'Great things need great sacrifice.'
Although, it's hard to accept but it's the reality. I wish a bright future for you ahead; son."

He smiled softly to Dom, his eyes were full of benevolence. Dom's friends felt something stirring in between their ribs. The small organ fluttered with emotions, they had never experienced. The feeling of pure love was blossoming in their heart.

Seeing a loving, father - son relationship was new for them. It warmed their hearts bringing a smile on to their faces.

Peter went back on repairing the spaceship, something strike him and he blurted. "Dom, how are you going to break this news in front of Bell. I will handle Valentina but Bell, she is not used to these things. Never ever she can leave her loved ones. It would be hard on her, so you need to utter each and every word carefully. I don't want to see my little girl, broken."
Peter smiled gloomily at Dom.

The soft wind caressed the sleeping trees which stirred slowly on its touch. Dark night sky was bedecked with tiny beautiful stars that twinkled at the sleeping souls.

Feeling the cold breeze, she shuddered, drawing her pink curtains on the open window. She sat upon her bed, picking her favourite book from the side table.
