(CHAPTER 30) BOLT FROM THE BLUE !!😲🔥

Mael screamed to Peter who was blacking out, "Open your eyes, don't close it. We are just reaching home. Come on, it is about some time." Taking on the car keys, he carried Peter in his arms and adjusted him inside the car. He ignited the engine and drove off in high speed. 

Passing in between the traffic, the white car sped up leaving behind all the vehicles. With throbbing heart, he punched the accelerator trying to maintain focus upon the road. In every passing second, he checked on Peter saying soothing words to keep him in senses. He was distressed as Dom had given them responsibility of their family's well being, and he could not fulfill that too. 

Keeping in mind the seriousness of the situation, Mael halted in front of a hospital. Sprinting inside, he called the doctor. Explaining him the whole situation, he pleaded him to accompany him right now, as it was an emergency case.  While his mind blamed him again and again.

If something happened to Peter, he could not forgive himself. It would be so shameful, how will he face Dom! He was appointed an easy job and he failed in that also. Reaching to their home, he honked recurrently grabbing his friends attention. Alexandre and Lucas sprinted out and saw tensed up Mael who pointed them towards the backside door.

As they peeped in, their heartbeats faltered at the sight. Peter was lying with his eyes closed and the pool of blood beneath him. And a man in white dress was trying to control the blood flow. They were terrified looking at his condition. But Alexandre got a grip at his emotions motioning both of them to carry him inside. Mael explained him that he could not be carried inside as he was wounded badly. Alexandre ran in the house and came out holding a black cloth with him. 

Placing it under him delicately, three of them held the corners of the sheet. And took Peter inside the house, getting in they went straight to their bedroom. Valentina followed them surprisingly seeing a stranger with them and  thought that what are they carrying. When Alexandre removed the cloth, revealing Peter's face; a loud shriek left from her mouth. One after another, tears blurred her vision and she felt her legs becoming wobbly. Lucas supported her by placing his shoulders around and took her out of the room. Although, she revolted at first but listening to his words her composure grew calm. 

"Val it is time to control ourselves, we know it is hard upon you. But we will do this for Peter, let us be strong. Together we can pass this terrible time, the doctor is trying his best. Peter had been wounded and will recover fast with our prayers." Fetching a glass of water; Lucas forwarded it to her. Holding it, she gulped the water in one go; and wiped off the waterdrops from her lips. 

Nodding her head, she mumbled lowly. "I will be strong, for Peter. I'm the eldest one so, I will take care of the things till he recovers. Thank you son for consoling me and taking care of my husband. Now, don't you worry I will handle everything smoothly."  A soft smile spread on her lips with gratitude in her eyes, she patted his shoulders and headed towards Bell's room.

She need to disclose it to Bell or else it would be a great shock for her; if she comes to know by herself. The golden sunlight penetrated from the window stopping at the busy figure who was seated beside the window with paint brushes in her hands. Engrossed totally in it, she was adding colors on the sheet when her reverie broke by her mother's knock. 

 Putting off the brush aside, she spoke joyfully; "Mom, why are you knocking? You should enter whenever you want. And why there was a loud of hustle and bustle outside?" Her eyes had lot of questions and worry suppressed inside.

Valentina sat on the bed with Bell across her, patting her head lovingly; she whispered. "Sweetheart, listen patiently to whatever I say. Actually; Mael was honking at the door. When your dad and Mael were in the market, they faced a sudden attack. Your dad was wounded badly and had lost lot of blood. So, Mael brought a doctor with him. And he is being treated now. I know you are a strong girl and we have to be tough for Peter."
