BELL'S POV :-

Bright sunlight wished her 'morning' stroking her fluffy cheeks, waking up the sleepyhead. Fluttering her eyes open, a bright smile made its way on her now refreshed face. Getting up from the soft bed, she went towards the large windows that were doing there best to prevent the sun rays from disturbing her.

Her blue orbs were quite shiny and sparkling, spreading positivity around. Tucking the small brown flick behind her ear, she pulled open the large windows revealing the elegant green foliage. Taking a small whiff she inhaled the fresh aroma of flowers.

Drawing off the pink curtains, the picturesque scene attracted her attention; taking her back to the previous night. She stood beside the window staring at the blank space. Some painful nights are enough to remove blotch of darkness from our life.

And that night was the same, it brought out her inner strength.

When Bell woke up screaming, she saw her mother rushing to her in some seconds. And after some good five minutes her dad was also sitting  along with them. Valentina was caressing her, Bell had placed her head in her mother's lap. Comforting her; Valentina inquired worriedly, "What was it Bell? You scared me, dear.."

Bell started in raspy voice; "It was the same nightmare, I couldn't take it more."  Her tone was laced with disappointment with her eyes lacking the liveliness. Peter broke the uneasy silence, "You are my brave girl, Bell. I know you could never be a coward." He spoke looking in her eyes.

"But dad I think, this time; I could not take it anymore. My patience is ending, it's too much. They say 'nights are soothing and beautiful.' But for me, it has been a torment. Why couldn't I sleep a single night peacefully. Sleep is a blessing and I'm deprived of it. Why me?"  Bell's voice broke at the end, all her pain started flowing in the form of tears. Trying to control her sobs, she breathed heavily but again the pearls came dropping one after another.

A rough hand wiped her tears, she looked up to see her dad with pained expression. His eyes held wetness and sympathy for her fragile daughter. He whispered seriously, "God places the burden according to our capacity. He doesn't tests us beyond it. You are capable of carrying this load. You are different from others my child. Ordinary people dream, extraordinary people work in turning those dreams true. Maybe you're not meant to sleep but for waking up others from slumber. Sleep is the sister of death, who likes to die before accomplishing something."

Bell nodded her head, understanding each and every word of her dad. He had always taught her to get up after falling down. A father is a motivator and a mentor of the child. He is always holding the lamp of light on our dark paths, showing us the way; where we falter. There's a strong connection between a father and daughter, without uttering a single word they understand each other so well.

He further continued, "Your childhood was filled with daily stories of bravery. As you loved being around nature, everyday I took you to the forest with me. One day, while we were in the forest ; I was busy cutting the woods. And as you were a curious girl, you went deep inside it. Seeing your absence, I went behind you and watched your every move from a distance. You sat around the daffodils, inhaling its scent. Suddenly, there was a rustling  of leaves from a bush. I thought to interrupt there but I wanted to make you independent, so I kept an eye on you. You had heard the sound and sat prepared, pretending as you were unaware. With a loud roar, a huge wolf sprang towards you emerging from the bushes. In a swift move, you turned and stabbed the dagger in the wolf's head. The wild animal fell down on the ground instantly. Stepping ahead, you pulled your weapon with a jerk and cleaned it with a withered leaf. Looking at your bravery, I couldn't control myself, my chest swelled in pride. Your courage made me happy and I showed up but seeing me, you leapt upon me immediately like an innocent child. This is just one story of your childhood, there were many instances when you surprised me. You were different from other children, the things that scared small children, were your hobbies. People's fear were your strength. You look naive and soft from outside but actually you have soul of a warrior inside you. My daughter isn't a chicken hearted girl, haan."
