(CHAPTER 24) TIME TO REVIVE 🛠️

Valentina cleaned Peter's wounds delicately, not to hurt him. Her mind yelled only one thing; 'your man is Aging, Val!'
But she couldn't digest this, he was strong and stout. Never in her life, she saw him sick or injured as he was now.

She was so immersed in the process, that she didn't noticed when he fluttered open his eyes. She felt heated gaze on her face and lifted her eyes to see his beloved staring at her. His eyes held adoration and softness melting in it.

Their staring contest ended up by a loud bang. Valentina hurriedly scurried to the source of noise.
The clamorous sound alarmed both of the men in the house.

Regaining some more strength, Peter stood up, took the dagger from the drawer and hid it inside his robe. With long strides, he followed his agonized wife towards the main gate.

While Dom also, slid on the slippers, he sprinted to check upon Bell. As, he reached to the main gate, he was surprised to see a fry pan lying on the floor. Valentina and Bell stood at the front in astonishment written all over their face suspecting the man. Deeply observing him; it clicked to Dom, it was Lucas!

At the same time, Peter reached there. As his eyes met with Dom a glint of mischief filled on both of their faces. Dom couldn't suppress anymore and he bursted out loudly with Peter. Their booming laughter scared the ladies.

"When did both of you came, Dom?" Bell inquired with her eyes scanning his dad from top to bottom. She was concerned for his well being.

Dom retorted, "You guys were so busy in your investigation. We thought not to disturb you; but looking at your pale faces, we couldn't control ourselves."

Bell replied angrily to him, "After all that happened, how can we not be careful? You expect us to entertain any stranger!" She stared at his now; smiling Dom. While her face had turned all red with anger. She looked like she would burst anytime.

"Okay ladies, my fault. I should have told you earlier only." Pointing at the man, he said; "He is Lucas, one of my best friend."

Valentina was surprised, her mind had lot of questions. Knowing her condition; Peter exclaimed, "I will explain everything to you Val. First, we should let this man in. He must be standing from a long time."

All of them nodded their head in appreciation. And asked the man pleasantly to come in. Lucas, opened his mouth as he entered inside. "I'm bored of people staring at my face. Dom, am I looking that handsome?" He demanded glancing at Dom.

"And I'm so sorry, I scared the ladies. I Didn't intended to." His face held real embarrassment.

Valentina stood up, smiling at Lucas and added cheerfully, "It's alright, we don't mind. You might be hungry, son. I'll bring some refreshments for you." Bell also accompanied her mother to the kitchen excusing herself.

The men started discussing; Dom asked Peter about his condition. And he replied; "Look son, we need to keep our health at one side. Our main priority is bringing your spaceship, soon. I'm healthy, anyways. They were just small scratches. That ocean isn't safe, various pirates arrive there. It's better we bring the spaceship back safely. I will go with Lucas."

Dom interrupted in between, "I'm also coming with you. I can't let you go alone."

Peter tapped Dom's back and whispered, "You need to take care of the arrangements. We need a separate space for keeping it. Valentina will show you the way to backyard. It is where the garage ends, remove all the things from there. Till that time we will look after that spaceship and try fetching it as soon as possible."
