Ash and Lana had been to the hospital. Kukui and Burnet had rushed over.

"Where is he?!" Kukui asked.
"He is in surgery," Lana said. Only Lana and Ash's partners had been allowed to stay in the hospital for Ash.
"Stay calm Ku," Burnet said.
"Right," He said. He started to steady his breathing.

They eventually sat down. It got late quickly. All five of them ended asleep in the hospital.

In the morning Lana was the first to awaken. She found her way to the cafeteria and got some food.

Lana —> Greeny <3

Lana:
Hey can you come to the hospital please

Greeny <3:
Sure but why?

Lana:
I just woke up and nobody else is up

Greeny <3:
Okay! I will see you at the desk soon k?

Lana:
Okay :)

Lana finished up eating and walked to the front desk. She sat down and waited. A few minutes later Mallow walked in.

"Lana!" She exclaimed.
"Hey," Lana said, giving Mallow a smile.
"So, what's up?"
"I- I don't know. It was just so scary a-and I watched ash get hurt and fall asleep and I didn't know if he was going to wake up and I started to patch him up and- and..." Lana said really quickly. She ran out of breath really quick.

Mallow shushed her.
"Don't worry, everything is fine," Mallow said, bringing Lana closer. Mallow could hear faint sobs coming from the shorter girl. Mallow started to rub Lanas back in a rhythmic manner.

After a few minutes Lana pulled away. Mallow could see Lanas puffy eyes and how pale she was.
"Do you want to see if Ash has woken up?" Mallow asked. Lana nodded her head. "Alright. Lead the way,"
Lana took mallows hand and lead her through the building until they got to Ash's room. Gladion had woken up and was standing.

"H-hey Mallow, Lana," He said.
"Hey Gladion. How you holding up?" Mallow asked. Lana had started to cling onto Mallows arm.
"I'm alright. I'm just worried you know?"
"Yeah. Have you eaten yet?"
"I haven't, no," He said.
"You should eat. You look ill," Mallow said.
"Will do," Gladion said. He walked down the corridor, head hanging low.

After an hour everyone else had woken up, with Kukui being the last.
By the time Lunch has come around some doctors had came over to them.
"Hello. Do any of you know what happened?"
"I- I do b-but I would rather not talk about I-it r-right now," Lana said.
"Of course. You will need to say what happened soon though. But since he is the Champion can probably get it postponed,"
"Th-thanks," Lana said.
"Anyways. He has just woken up. Guardians? It's your call,"
"I think he might want to see Lana first," Burnet said. Kukui hummed in agreement.
"H-hey can you come with me?" Lana asked Mallow. The two had eventually sat down in some chairs. Mallow had her arm around Lana comforting her.
"Of course," Mallow said.

The duo walked into the hospital room.
"Lana!" Ash exclaimed.
"Ash!" Lana said. She ran over to him and they pulled each other into a hug.
"You two seem like you haven't seen each other in years," Mallow said, chuckling. "I understand you though. After whatever you went through it makes sense,"
"Th-thanks," Ash said. Lana released Ash and went back to Mallow who had brought herself closer to the bed. She grabbed onto Mallows arm.

"So how are you Ash?" Mallow asked.
"I'm alright. I'm still shaken up from the whole thing. I don't think that my adrenaline high has stopped yet,"
"Oh?" Lana questioned.
"Whenever something that gives me adrenaline happens after it comes down I throw up."
"Oh..." Lana said.
"Don't worry, it doesn't affect me though!" Ash said.
"Sure..." Mallow muttered. "Well you're going to have to make a statement to the police but you can postpone it apparently,"
"Oh.. I was hoping I wouldn't have to." Ash said.
"Yeah..." Lana said. Mallow walked over to a seat and sat down, Lana still holding onto her.
"Well, I'm sure it will be fine." Mallow said.
"Yeah. Well thanks for coming guys," Ash said.
"Hey it's no problem." Mallow said. "Well I think I'm gonna leave now. Should I send in Gladion and Hau?"
"Err... sure," Ash said reluctantly.
"Well goodbye!" Mallow said. She stood up with Lana and walked out.

"Hey Ash," Gladion said. He and Hau walked in to Ash's room.
"Hey guys," Ash said. He tried to avoid eye contact. Hau walked over and gave Ash a hug. Ash melted in his embrace.
"Hey, how are you?" Hau asked, pulling away.
"I-I'm good."
"That's nice," Gladion said. He really didn't like that atmosphere in the room.
"W-one second," Ash said. He stood up and hurried over to the toilet. He threw up.
"You good?" Gladion asked.
"Yes sorry!" Ash said happily. He flushed the toilet and cleaned his mouth. "Sorry don't worry about that. It's natural for me,"
"Sure... well we should get going. I know the Professors are missing you," Gladion said. He and Hau got up and left. A few seconds passed and the professors walked in. Ash had already gotten into bed.

"Ash!" Kukui said.
"Hey guys!" Ash replied. He put on a happy face.
"How are you?"
"I'm good thanks."
"I have missed you so much. I'm sure Burnet here has as well.
"I hadn't even been away for 24 hours," Ash said with a laugh.
"Hey!" Kukui said. Burnet started laughing. "You would miss someone who is like family to you if they nearly died!"
"I have to agree there," Ash said.
"There we go!" Kukui said.
"Well, you should eat something right?" Burnet questioned.
"That's true," Ash said.
"Well?" Burnet asked.
"Hmm, soup?"
"Sure! I bet Mallow would make you some,"
"Oh I don't want to bother her," Ash said.
"Seriously? It won't bother her!" Kukui said.
"Kukui's right," Burnet said. "We will go tell her that you want some soup, she can bring it in a flask or something,"
"Okay,"

Once they had left Lana came in through the door.
"What's up?"
"H-how?" Lana asked. "How did you deal with something traumatic for so long?"
"What do you mean?" Ash asked.
"I- I'm already thinking about the volcano... but I don't want to yet I can stop," Lana said.
"Well what part is plaguing you the most?"
"W-when I was putting your ripped up shirt on some of your wounds. I can't get rid off the vision of your blood on my hands,"
"Oh wow," Ash said. "Well, I kind of just ignored them. It only really started to hurt me a few months ago, but that isn't healthy."
"Yeah..."
"But I think you should get some help," Ash said. He believed it, but he wouldn't take his own advice,
"Th-thanks," Lana said. She walked out of the room and Ash was plunged into silence. He closed his eyes.

He was startled when he heard a knock on the door.
"Come in!" Ash said. The door opened and in came Lillie and Mallow.
"Hey Ash!" Lillie said.
"Hi!" He said, once again putting on a face.
"We have brought you some soup," Mallow announced.
"Thanks," Ash said. Mallow placed flask of soup on his bedside table. Lillie pulled out a bowl from under her hat and poured the soup into it. Mallow pulled out a spoon from who knows where and put it into the bowl.
"There you go!" Mallow said.
"Thanks!" Ash said.

Hi! So today I had a rest until like 8pm (it is currently 11:30pm) from writing. I did like half of the previous chapter (so like 1000 words) and this one (1200 words)  today :) thanks for reading you guys! Once I finish this saga I'm going to put this on hiatus, occasionally updating it so I can concentrate on older ones :) <3
