There, side by side just outside the back door, stood Geo and Jethro. Geo and Jethro and not Nick. George could have sworn that Geo and Jethro left with Nick. Where is Nick?
"Geo? Jethro? Where's Nick?" George asked, searching behind the two for his best friend. Though their sudden arrival had sobered him some, he was still significantly drunk and struggled to force his eyes to focus.
"George, how drunk are you?" Geo asked gently, making his way to the edge of the pool and crouching. George looked at him and took a moment to wonder when he'd turned blue before realising that that must be the lights from the pool.
"Very." Ophelia replied at the same time George moved to say 'not very'. He looked over at her in betrayal, silently planning to hide Boobies somewhere. He gave up quickly when he realised just how big Boobies was and how hard it would be to hide that much eclectic blue bear anywhere. Geo stood and looked over to Jethro, eyes torn, eyebrows furrowed and lip pulled between his teeth.
"I think he should be sober for this." Geo voiced softly and Jethro nodded his agreement. George wanted to say that he was perfectly sober, thank you, and that they should tell him what 'this' is.
"Where should I send them? I don't think we can fit them all here without having a most people double up. And I doubt George would want to stumble upon them while hungover." Jethro replied and George distantly wondered who 'them' was and why he wouldn't want to see them while hungover.
"We could try and book a place for them for the night? They can't really drive all the way back." Geo replied and George decided he really didn't like not knowing who they were talking about. "Clark?" Geo called. Clark swam to the edge of the pool in a rather sloppy manner, making some noncommittal noise of question.
"Do you think we could book another place near this one?" Geo asked sweetly. Knowing that Clark would say yes if he were sober as well, Geo didn't feel all that bad about asking. Clark hummed, reaching his arms up and towards Jethro, making grabbing gestures with his hands.
Jethro huffed, pretending his eyes didn't stutter on Clark's exposed torso, and crouched to lift him out underneath his armpits. Too used to his shenanigans, Jethro barely reacted at all when Clark wrapped around him entirely, soaking through his clothes.
"Sure. Wallet's in the bag. You brought yourself back a lady friend?" He finally answered, content to stay clung to the others chest for as long as he'd let him. Geo smiled in thanks and giggled bashfully, padding his way indoors in search of Clark's wallet instead of answering. Clark would tease him no matter what he said, especially if he's drunk, so Geo decided it was best not to answer.
George decided he was fed up of being ignored and not included so he took it upon himself to find out who these 'they' were. He pulled himself clumsily out of the pool and made his way towards the house, Ophelia entirely zoned out and floating on her back in the pool and Jethro and Clark too busy bickering in hushed voices to stop him.
He almost slipped when he stepped up onto the decking, forgetting that he was still in his outfit from the day - including his shoes - except soaking wet. The music resonating from Ophelia's speaker on the decking no longer made George want to dance. It more made him want to throw up.
He managed to get himself inside and spared a moments thought to the fact that the house was not his, grabbing a thick red blanket off of the back of the couch and wrapping it around his shoulders. He toed his soaking shoes and socks of and waddled his way towards the kitchen, figuring that that was where the voices were coming from.
