Ashley opened her eyes slowly to the sight of Damon sitting beside her bed she sat up wide awake remembering the events of last night, "Hey" Damon said softly.

"I thought you were ignoring me" She said sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I was a dick, I'm sorry" Damon said.

Ashley pursed her lips, "You were" She admitted putting her lips on his when a vision passed in her mind of Damon riding in a car Katherine.

She pulled away instantly making Damon frown, "You were with Katherine?" Damon looked down slightly ashamed, the strawberry blonde girl scoffed before getting out of bed to go to school.

"Here we are. Senior year." Caroline said as the four friends stood side by side in front of the school.

"Anyone else think it should feel slightly more empowering?" Bonnie asked.

Caroline sighed, "Okay. So prank night was a bust. But we are accepting it, and we are moving on."

"You're right. I mean, why should I let the fact that my boyfriend is seeing the ghost of his dead girlfriends hinder this experience?" Bonnie wandered.

Caroline nodded, "Yes! And why should I let the fact that my boyfriend was turned into a hybrid put a damper on an otherwise fabulous day"

"Yeah my boyfriend was his ex on a road trip, no big deal" Ashley dismissed.

Caroline's eyes widened, "Wait Damon was with Katherine?"

Ashley pursed her lips, "I saw it" she stared at her sister with a sad face before stopping her from saying anything, "and no I don't wanna talk about it"

Elena shook her head changing the subject, "Today's our anniversary. Technically, Stefan and I met on the first day of school last year."

They all looked at each other, "Happy first day" The strawberry blonde said sarcastically before going in.

Her phone rang while she was walking in the hallways she saw the caller ID was Damon she pursed her lips debating on whether she should accept the call or not, but her heart won when she clicked on the green button on the screen.

"If you're calling to apologize I don't wanna hear it" She started

"Yeah. Look you know I don't care about Katherine, right? We were just trying to find a way to get rid of Klaus, I'm sorry I didn't tell you" Damon explained.

Ashley sighed knowing she can't stay mad at him for long, "You're not forgiven yet but why are you calling though?"

"So...You might not want to come here for a while. We have a new housemate. Barbie Klaus."

Ashley frowned, "Rebekah? She's living with you now? Why?"

Damon sighed, "She's stranded. Apparently Klaus left her in the dust after I name-dropped Mikael."
