As Caroline stood on the stage announcing the couples she kept calling Jeremy name but he never showed instead Matt was April's escort, "Hey, Where is Jeremy?"Ashley asked approaching the brunette.

"I'm calling him right now." Elena said putting her phone on her ears as Damon walked up to them, "He's not picking up."

"Do the math. Emo teen, open bar, it's fine." Damon said dismissing the girl's worries

"Matt said that Jeremy's been having nightmares about killing vampires and he's been hiding it from me."

Ashley raised her eyebrows in worry and shock but Damon shrugged it off, "Relax, I'm sure he's fine."

Elena shook her head, "I don't know. I have a bad feeling."

"If I'm not worried, you shouldn't be worried. Let it go. I'll go look for him." Damon said as Elena nodded, "Okay."

"Okay, you go home, I'm gonna start asking around here." Ashley said looking at Elena as Damon walked away from them.

Elena shook her head dismissing the redhead, "Maybe Damon's right. Maybe he grabbed a bottle from the bar and snuck off to the woods."

Ashley frowned staring at her friend in surprise, "No, Damon is never right. He may think he knows everything but he doesn't, I dated him remember"

"I don't know, but why do I think that you won't hesitate to tell me?"

"What's wrong with you? Since when does your feelings cloud your judgment, Elena" Ashley said slightly raising her voice as Klaus walked over to them standing next to Ashley.

"I just think you're turning into a completely different person and I don't like it" Ashley admitted.

"Easy, love, you're making a scene." Klaus said trying to calm the redhead down.

"Wow, Ashley, thank you for making this very difficult time so much easier." Elena said walking away from the couple.

Ashley was shocked shaking her head, "How did I become the bad guy?" She asked as Klaus moved from standing next to her to standing in front of her, "Let's get you a drink. I'll tell you all about being the bad guy."

Ashley and Klaus were walking together next to the pond on the Lockwood property, Klaus was carrying two glasses and a bottle of champagne, "It's just, as her best friend, it is my duty to warn her when she's making a giant mistake, right? And now she's taking Damon's side on everything, like I dated the guy but I was never like that I had my own mind"

"So, being a vampire's changed her?" Klaus asked.

"I mean I don't know maybe her feelings for Damon was amplified but that shouldn't turn her into his lap dog"
