It was a bright sunny day in the middle of the summer.

Different flowers were in their full bloom and grasses and leaves were in their liveliest shades of green. The wind blowing from the south was a bit warm and tickling, making everyone feel energized, alive, and sweaty all at the same time.

On the road towards the Capital City of the Kingdom of Alyxzandryte, an Official carriage was found rolling with a well-built coachman driving the carriage, and another three people sitting idly inside.

However, at this moment, a devastatingly beautiful lady in her light and billowy yellow dress was found to be constantly wiping away the sweat from her dazzling face.

Because of her lack of enchant energy, it was not enough to cast a spell for herself to cool down her own temperature in the middle of the summer heat.

But even amidst her ceaseless perspiration, she was keeping a calm and relaxed demeanor in front of the two men sitting across her.

The grim-faced man on the left looked over the lady in a yellow dress, "Lena, are you sure you're going to be okay?" Arkus asked with malice flickering in his eyes.

"You don't have to worry, Arkus, I'll be fine," Lena answered without even glancing towards Arkus.

Anjo, who was silently sitting at the right corner, could be seen with a deep frown on his gentle face.

Ever since they set off on the road for the Capital, it was expected that the temperature along the road would be hot and a bit uncomfortable, especially to those people who didn't have enough enchant energy in their bodies.

Unfortunately, his sister Lena was one of those poor people.

He had already planned to help Lena by casting a spell on her or activating the cooling spell on the carriage, but the loving and caring Arkus warned him not to try to do anything funny without his permission.

Thus, even though Anjo could help Lena, he still wasn't able to do it because of Arkus.

Anjo was a gentle and scholarly kind person. But he lacked courage and a bit of backbone when it comes to the Marquis of Deira and the General of His Majesty the King.

He was ashamed of this fact, but up to this point, he still couldn't do anything about it, but could only grit his teeth silently.

And Lena was already aware of this fact from the very beginning.

She couldn't help but wonder what could be the reason behind the cowardice of Anjo with Arkus.

Damn this Arkus!

If it weren't because of him, I won't be suffering like this!

Lena kept on throwing curses towards Arkus in her heart. She could only try to stay calm and look relaxed, but on the inside, she was already rolling in rage.

Why did I even decided to wear a bright yellow dress in the middle of the freaking hot day!

That was right, she also hated her choice of dress for this journey towards the Capital City. She couldn't wait any more when they would arrive so she could at least buy a dress with a less bright color.

For Lena, the best shades of dresses to wear when it was hot and sunny were the darker shades of color. And during the winter and rainy season, that was when she could dress for brighter colors. That was how it works for her all the time. Only a few instances that her preference would change.

Thinking about this, Lena looked towards Arkus and asked, "Are we near the Capital?"

Arkus smiled shrewdly, "We were from the southern border of the kingdom and now you're already asking if we're already near at the Capital?" he paused, looking intently towards Lena, "Are you playing dumb or you're actually stupid?" he blurted.
