King Darius, who was still standing awkwardly, with a simpering smile said, "Great Advisor, it's truly our privilege to have you even in this small banquet." With a flick of his golden robe, a Palace steward appeared before him. "Go and quickly fetch a grand seat for the Great Advisor," said King Darius in a hurry, afraid of offending the Great Advisor even more.
He was not a fool. He knew it too well that the Great Advisor, being all-powerful and dignified, was not an easy person to offend with. With all his might as a King, even he, was too conscious and had to be respectful towards the Great Advisor just as not to offend him.
Only this time, for some reason, he felt that the sudden appearance of the Great Advisor was really unusual. He knew that it was not in Great Advisor's character to attend banquets and even formal celebrations. So, he was in deep wondering what could be the reason for his sudden appearance. But right now, it was not his most priority to think about that. His back has started to become wet due to cold sweat as he fought off the shivering cold under the stare of the Great Advisor.
The King kept on maintaining his simpering smile towards the Great Advisor as the steward scampered to get not just a grand seat, but the grandest seat he could find right away.
However, before the steward could even walk out of the hall, the Great Advisor slowly turned around and face the insignificant youngest sister of the Southern General, who was still standing idly at the center.
Lena's dazzling hazel eyes slightly dilated the moment the man in white robe turned towards her.
I was right, indeed.
The man in front of her was none other than the bloodied man he saved a month ago in the middle of the woods of the Nile City.
With a silver mask covering half of his face, Lena couldn't see the expression behind the covering. But she can sense that the Great Advisor was not here to cause her trouble. After all, she has saved him from his tragic demise. A pair of cold and silver eyes met with a pair of dazzling and captivating hazel eyes.
The Great Advisor, while his gaze still locked onto Lena, with his gentle and dignified voice spoke, "I heard that the little sister of the Southern General was caught in a predicament." His gaze swiftly swept over Lena's frame. "Having reached of a matured age, she was still not endowed with an enchant element," he continued.
This fact has been known throughout all the Capital even before Lena first arrived. No one knew who had spread the news about it but the great General Arkus suspected that it was one of the opposing forces in the Kingdom's politics. He knew that only those old rotten folks could cause such unfavorable things to happen to him.
The King chortled as he carefully spoke, "That was right. The young lady was considered as good-for-nothing after being discovered that she didn't possess any enchant element within her even after reaching such matured age." King Darius couldn't help but to only grasp the opportunity to talk about the young lady instead of getting the Great Advisor's attention all to himself. So, he added, "General Arkus could've been really troubled about it. I've heard that he has even sought several healers just to help out his dear sister, but to no avail until now."
The Great Advisor's gaze was still locked onto Lena, seemingly trying to get something from those dazzling and captivating eyes of her. Only after a few breaths away he spoke once again, "Her case is special, I will personally admit her to the Brilliant Crystal Academy." He turned towards the King and continued, "I hope His Majesty would allow me to do this." When he spoke of these words, it was not asking the King for his permission. It was more of a threat instead. It was clear that the Great Advisor has seen the previous action of the King towards Lena, and the King was aware of this fact.
