In the Blue Diamond Continent, mages were also categorized into four kinds.

Aside from having different elemental endowments, a mage could be a Pure Caster, having a wand as a medium of his/her magic to defend and to battle, a Healer who specialized in medicinal herbs and different potions, a Combat Mage who could use his/her magic and enchantment powers in actual combat and maintaining his/her strong physique, and a Swordsman who could use his/her sword as a medium of her enchantment powers.

Here, Libby was a Pure Caster while Lizzy was a Swordsman.

Soon, after both have already stood in their fighting position, a pack of magical beasts rampaged their way towards them.

Libby was a year younger than Lizzy and although both were already an Advanced Rank mages, the fresh and delicate Libby was only at the low-level while the cold-faced Lizzy was already at the high-level of the Advanced Rank.

Combining their attacks, Libby had cast her enchantment powers using her enchant element of water. With Libby's current rank, the attacks that she could use varies and she could actually solidify the water into ice, but because she was still just in the low-level of Advanced Rank, her ice attack was still not stable enough to use in a fight. Therefore, she was using just using her water attacks.

Moving her wand and pointing it towards the magical beasts, one at a time, vine-like water came out of nowhere bounding the raging magical beasts. And as Libby suppressed the magical beasts by keeping them bounded, Lizzy, with her agile movements and fire element, she ruthlessly pounced towards them with the long sword in her hands. Both of them were fighting strategically. One was catching the prey while one was slaughtering. They killed every last bit of the magical beasts that showed up in front of them.

The killing and the resting and practicing went on and on until the fifteenth day of their stay in the deep woods.

It was already late in the morning but the sun was still not up and only the thick gray clouds were scattered across the sky when a sudden explosion occurred. The entrance of the cave where Lena went in to practice blew up all of a sudden.

Libby and Lizzy were alerted. Their anxious gaze darted towards the blown up entrance. Then, a burst of crisp and merry laughter sounded from the inside of the cave.

It's her!

Before Libby and Lizzy could walk towards the cave, Lena emerged out of the cave in a flash. Before the two could even react, Lena appeared in front of them with her veil still plastered on her face.

"My lady!" the sisters exclaimed. Their eyes were shining as they gaze upon the lady in front of them. They could still see the faint enchant energy surrounding the lady. It was clear that their lady made a breakthrough.
However, there was something amiss.

The inquisitive Lizzy frowned and asked, "My Lady, how come there was no lightning when you had your breakthrough?"

Lena just blinked innocently at Lizzy with her dazzling pair of hazel eyes. Libby just did the same as well.

In this Blue Diamond Continent, every mage, as they go through their breakthrough, lightning was an indication of their success in breaking through on their previous rank and advancing to a new rank. The color of the lightning could vary depending on the achieved rank of the mage and its intensity would signify the level of the rank.

Yellow lightning for Elementary Rank, Orange for the Intermediate Rank, Red for the Advanced Rank, Blue for the Elite Rank, Violet for the Sorcerer/Sorceress Rank, and Gold for the peak of the power Enchanter/Enchantress Rank. Each rank has three levels, thus the color could vary from pale to light to vibrant form of the color indicating the rank.
