Anesthetized Woman. (Burnt Skies Series #1)

Today's Wednesday, i'm wearing a stripes halter top , it's brown and white paired with my white high-waisted jeans. I looked at my wrist before waking up the engine of my car... i tried to hold it carefully but the pain is still in there. I started driving to the hospital dahil mayroon akong important duty today.

Today ay may ooperahan akong bata , it's a surgery for bone fracture sa braso nung bata. Hindi ko pa nababasa kung ano ang naging dahilan pero mamaya na ang inisched ko na surgery dahi sa isang araw ay mayroon ulit akong ooperahan. 

Pagkapark ko ng sasakyan at bumaba agad ako, as soon as i entered the hospital , everyone keep looking at my side. Too much attention i see. Nakita ko na may mga reporter sa gilid na nagkakape, i think they're here for Dr. Verdejo. I changed my clothes and i'm ready to go. While i'm walking ,I saw Trevin and i saw how he stopped when he realized that i'm already infront him.  I ignored him 'cause there's nothing to pay attention at. 

"We're partners again." he yelled.

I ignored what he said and continued walking to the operating room. While I was washing my hands with PVP-I (polyvinylpyrrolidone) he went along with washing his hands in another sink beside mine. 

" I should be the one who's ignoring you Dra. Zahra " he insisted.

I acted like i didn't hear anything because i had to focus on the operation i was going to do. He was too much of a hindrance eh! I immediately entered the operating room to stop him from speaking, you know he might be ashamed 'cause of the people inside and might stop. 

Ang buong akala ko ay hindi na siya magsasalita, nang bigla ulit siyang nagsalita na naman.

" Not talking to me...i see." he said while looking at me. 

" Bone fracture repair surgery can take several hours. You'd be given general anesthesia to put you to sleep during your surgery or local anesthesia to numb only the broken limb. You can do this for sure." I said to the boy who's looking at me. Ignoring Trevin's word.

I could see the fear in his eyes but he keeps on pretending that he's strong. I rolled my eyes , pretending to be strong isn't always the answer. He'll know that soon when he's already an adult.

"Pain in the injured area that gets worse when the area is moved or pressure is applied. Vital signs ?" i said ignoring what he said 

"heart rate: 75 to 118 beats per minute." he said.

"Anesthesia?" i asked , the anesthesiologist nodded means everthing's ready for us to start. 

Tinignan ko ang bata ,natutulog na siya kaya uumpisahan na namin. I made an incision over the fracture site , i made sure that the plates and screws are to be utilized. I made an incision at the end of a long bone and place a rod down the inner aspect of the bone to stabilize and repair a fracture.

The  fractured bone is then set into place.  I used metal screws, pins, rods, and plates to secure the bone in place. These can be either temporary or permanent. While there's Trevin, repairing the blood vessels that were damaged. He's working silently like me, focused.
