You Were So Small

Catherines pov

I open my eyes to see I'm in a field, beside someone who I knew very well,
"so catalina, may I ask how are you and Henry" maud looks over to me, I shrg my shoulders and look down to my lap,
A flower?
"oh yeah, while you zoned out she put that in your lap" she said looking around for her. I smile and pick it up, looking at it, a blue flower,
I smile, there quite rare to find.
Suddenly we both snap our heads were small giggling could be heard.
"bunny!" Cathy shouts while laughing, chasing a small bunny around.
'she looks so happy,' she looked around 4 or 5
She had something in her hand,
"hey Catherine, sweet come here" Cathy snaps her head towards us and smiles and runs up. She tackles me into a hug giggling.
"I'm so sorry catalina, she gets excited when your here" she laughs off the end,
I smile and lean back up to sitting position
"it's quite alright. It nice having such a sweet thing around" I say ruffling her hair.
Maud smiles and lightly leans on my,
Cathy suddenly gets up, grabs something near us.
Me and maud look at each other in confusion
She turns around with a small smile and a flower crown, she walks over and grabs my crown and puts the flower one on,
Maud gets a panicked look, I laugh and take the crown and put it on Cathy, she giggles and sits down ,
"you've got a sweet kid maud" I say smiling looking over at her,
She smiles back and replys. Looking at the sky, "she tries" Cathy got up and sat in between us starting talking about something.
"hey Cathy why not go get some more flowers to make your mother a crown" she lights up at my suggestion and immediately gets up and runs into the field of flowers,Looking around .

Me and maud were talking when suddenly Cathy came running up and threw herself into my arms. Clearly not okay.. "hey sweet one what's wrong?" I look down at her, me and maud see she's pointing to her father. Who doesn't look happy.
Maud scrabbles up, I stand up while putting Cathy on my hip.
She hiding herself as much as she could.
"Thomas, hunny , what are you doing here?" he ignores her comment.
"why are you hanging out with the queen and why does Catherine have her crown!" he shouts ,

'asset much' I think. While maud and him are arguing , Cathy gets more tense and scared.
"hey, your gonna be okay, alright?" I say putting a finger under her chin to make her look at me.
She nods slightly,
"looks, -" they stop and turn to me
"- she's a friend of mine Thomas, and she's my lady in waiting. And catherine only has my crown because I put it on her" I say  he looks shocked, she scoffs and walks away.
I hear sniffs from my right side, I turn my head to see tears falling down Cathy's cheeks
I wipe them away as muad recollects herself.
"your mamas gonna protect you alright. He's not going to hurt you" I say lightly stroking her hair.

"sometimes I wonder if she's safe" maud says turning around to me, I give her a sad look,
She puts a hand on the back of Cathy's head
"I just want her to be okay and safe" I smile and grab her hand,
"ill help you with alright?" she smiles and hugs me.
"I don't like how this little one in in the middle of it" she says ,
"hey sweet. You wanna go home and sleep?" she looks towards Cathy she just puts her arms around me tighter.
I laugh and look at maud,
"looks like she's mine now" I smirk as she fake gasps. We laugh and Cathys fallen asleep. I hand her over and wave maud goodbye,

As I was being brought back to the castle, I thought back to what maud had said,
I walk through the doors and -

I bolt up. Confused but then realize it was a dream,
"why was that a dream, couldn't I go back to that" I laugh and get myself dressed and go downstairs.
"hey catherine, you want something?" Jane says, pushing a plate of food towards me.
I smile at her and kiss her cheek.
The rest came down.
"so anyone have anymore dreams or nightmares" Jane questions looking around.
"nope for once I didn't" Anne says proudly,
"I'm glad!" Jane says giving her her food.
"catherine" I guess I zoned out again?
"uh right. UM yeah I did but wasn't a nightmare to say" I say getting a drink,
"oh, what was it about?" Anna says before shoving a waffle in her mouth.
I point over to Cathy but them immediately sit down.
"wha- me? What did I do this time?" she says. Everyone laughs and I smile at her.
"no, nothing bad, but it's was more a, memory," everyone looks over to me actually interested.
" go on, I wanna know" Anna says leaning forwards.
"it was back when Cathy was around 4 or 5" I start, Cathy put sher head in her hands an groans. She gets told to shush my kitty and Anna.
She flips then off.
"me and your mother were at the field and u came running around with a bunny and a flower crown.
U literally took my crown off and put the flower one on. Then your dad came. That kinda ruined it.-" Cathy laughs then says "he ruined alot of things" we laughs at that but I continued
"- he started at your mother about letting you wear my crown and eventually he went away, maud said she wanted you to be safe and away from people like him" I finished and I could see Cathy smiling, I smiled back,
"wait wait" we look at Jane "you have to tell me" she stops "was Cathy cute and small" she says. I aligh and say
"yeah, you were quite the trouble maker tho. You'd blind and you'd disappear" everyone laughs as Cathy just smiles.
"I remember my mum saying I was gonna get in trouble that way, I did end up getting in trouble at one point" she laughs off the end bit.
"good to see your still thinking off my mother and you haven't forgotten her" she stops and sips her coffee. "how the hell could I forgot the women who was there for me when I ranted about Henry and said she was a right dick" she laughs and nods,

After breakfast

"Cathy, you wanna go to the book store today?" I call out from the kitchen, I see her walk in and nod 
I smile and turn akrund then I felt her hug me.
I turn around and hug her back,
"I miss her" she whispers. I lightly rub her back.
"I know you do. I do to. But just think. Shes probably watching us right saying. Just get on with it" she laughs and says "very true" I smile and squeeze her hand and finish the dishes.

I smile at the fact that I'm glad she's here.
I don't think life osuld be the same if she wasn't here my beautiful smart, gracious goddaughter.
After that we walked to the library and stayed there for a couple of hours.
Talking. Bring up memory's of her mother and stuff

I find this cute, do not judge me, sometimes that fact that them to are God mother and god daughter is over looked sometimes that they would most likely have that type of relationship
But I like it. Also I'm struggling so I cope like dis
