Lyer was in his study filling out his mountain of paperwork which he was about ready to burn to ashes. He'd been doing late-nighters for a few days and honestly, he's about to retire from being a king. Not to mention all his pent-up annoyance was about to explode at any moment if probable. More than 3/4's of his paperwork were about useless topics, requests, and subjects that he questions how they were able to get through to him.
Lyer stopped writing and leaned against the chair, taking a breather. There was a knock on the door and then a moment later the black knight entered the room otherwise known as Valyhar(1). Valyhar bowed to Lyer on one knee and then got up. Lyer looked at Valyhar not interested at all and looking indefinitely bored. "How did it go?" Lyer asked moving his piles of paperwork aside.
"Arselyn(2) has been removed. They rejected any deals or offers and decided to end themselves in a fight with us rather than surrender." Valyhar said looking at the floor beneath him. Lyer glanced at Valhyar and looked back at his paper.
"What they have to say? I doubt they went down without any fatuous rubbish to add." Lyer smirked briefly before going back to a blank face.
"Our beautiful country of Arselyn, the country that will one day bestow all manners of revenge upon that Demon king of yours. We will never pledge our devotion to such a horrendous man. If Arselyn shall fall, then so we shall— with pride, with honor, and our integrity. Our God Asaha(3) will protect us, bless us, and guide us.
Mark our words, the kingdom of Czenasc(4)will fall and burn at the gates of Hell. The deprived Kingdom where corruption and vile animals live will one day face our Asaha's anger. Our pureness will defend us from your nature.
Wait for us-" Valhyar relayed the words the king of Arselyn said word for word.
Lyer raised a brow from the sudden cutoff. "Where's the rest?"
"He was taking too long so I cut off his head." Valhyar replied and Lyer looked at him blankly.
Lyer sighed after hearing that long speech. It wasn't the longest one he's heard but it was still annoying to sit and listen to. "That's some widespread resentment that old King is spewing out. Demon King, fall and burn at the gates of dymir, deprived Kingdom where corruption and vile animals live. Guess the old fool couldn't do better, must be going senile from old age." Lyer looked back at Valhyar to see the bloodstains on his armor. "The bodies?" Lyer asked slightly interested.
"The heads were all chopped and buried properly. The rest of the bodies were given to the Collyes(5)." Valhyar said shedding no emotion. This led Lyer to chuckle.
"Those sick bastards in the Collyes, still up to no good. Inhumane beings that I long to advance and kill off." Lyer insulted the collectors' group. "Casualties, winnings?" Lyer asked tapping the desk with his finger obviously bored.
"583 men injured, 130 died, 204,236 civilians and soldiers from Arselyn, 9,836 were injured to varying degrees, and 937 died mostly soldiers. 15 armories, 30 food storages, and a treasury." Lyer hearing this let out another sigh.
"Have Romulus(6) send the families condolences and give the soldiers an additional reward. For the remaining soldiers and civilians settle them in a town near the east around the rivers as of now." Lyer said and Valhyar nodded without a word. Lyer seeing the unseen troubled expression of Valhyar pissed him off a little.
"If you have something to say then say it." Lyer said with annoyance. Valhyar finally looked up from the floor and looked at Lyer.
"Wouldn't it be quicker to kill the rest of them? Settling them and keeping them may fuel their desire for revenge, rebellion, and distrust." Valhyar said in a quiet voice almost a whisper. Lyer grinned hearing his suggestion.
"That would be the simpler way but genuinely there's no need for the Collyes to have extra rotting carcasses. Besides they are like anyone else in the broader sense. Wouldn't you try integrating more into your kingdom and gain some reputation rather than remove them and have more than several other kingdoms going after you for your potential threat to them as a whole. No need for perpetual bloodshed if it can be helped, Czenasc wasn't built around that concept. We as beings are very manipulable, by using appropriate tactics and methods, you can attain more than lose some." Lyer told Valhyar. Valhyar at this moment thought of Lyer as a very scary individual when it comes to mind games. "Salvage anything from the battles and begin repairs. Anyone left from the royal family?" Valhyar took a moment to think if there were any survivors.
"There is one. A princess at the age of 18. She was hiding in a secret compartment during the fight." Valhyar said and this news made Lyer groan in total disdain and he threw himself over his desk. He hated adding more royalty to his kingdom, it was annoying for him.
"...Add...just......add her to the Rose palace." Lyer muttered. The rose palace had quite an unprecedented amount of princesses and princes either captured as a winning, sacrifice, offering, or a peace treaty. Lyer had to constantly upgrade the rose palace to fit all the royalty plus their demands. Valhyar couldn't help but crack a small smile seeing Lyer show something other than nothing.
"Understood." Valhyar said bowing preparing to leave.
"Also," Lyer raised his head from the desk and stared straight at Valhyar. The knight turned back to look at the still grumbling king. "Get yourself to the herbal hall and let them fix you up. Do it now without delay or else," Lyer's tone suddenly shifted and he leaned back on his chair and stared coldly at Valhyar. "I'll personally handle your punishment, even let Reyva(7) join." Lyer said with no emotion but he was joking. Valhyar felt goosebumps all over his body thinking it was bad enough if Lyer was the one to do it but he absolutely hated the idea of having both him and Reyva torture him for endless hours.
"Your majesty I would gain more injury from you both than from any battle and truthfully the two of you are complete sadists." Valhyar says vehemently.
"Then you better hurry my patience is limited." Lyer said. Valhyar bowed once more and quickly rushed out of the room. "Too easy," Lyer said looking at his mountain of papers to sign and fill. "be glad I never let her carry out your punishments, or else you wouldn't be standing in front of me." Lyer muttered going back to his paperwork.

1.Valhyar (Val-hee-yar)-Black knight as he is commonly known as but a better way to put it is the embodiment of war. Has deep relations with Lyer and unsavory rumors have run around about him. Not talkative and usually either alone or training (alone).
2.Arselyn(Ar-sel-lin)- The country that Lyer had (unmercilessly) defeated and taken down. A very monotheistic kingdom that is very heavily based on (their) religion.
3.Asaha(Ah-sa-ha)- God of healing, protection, divine blessings, and sometimes even worshiped as the god of creation. Few countries consider Asaha as the primal god that rules above all, most times he's more associated as one of the many gods or sometimes even as a deity.
4.Czenasc (Zen-ahs)- The largest kingdom that is considered a practical empire with Lyer as the king.
5.Collyes (Coal-les) Can be considered the cleanup team, typically a very unorthodox group that is small and usually unfamed but their tactics are very underhanded and sometimes even vile.
6.Romulus (Ra-mew-lus)- The advisor to Lyer.
7. Reyva (Reh-va)- One of the many prison guards that are in charge with the punishment and torture of prisoners.
