Lovey Dovey Disaster pt5

-With Cancer and Aries-

Cancer and Aries decided to simply go for a stroll through the city. They weren't too awkward outside of the obvious space that Cancer kept between them. Cancer was still wearing the hoodie he went to sleep in and felt embarrassed to be outside.

But he look to Aries who was fully dressed. A tank top along with a skirt which went down to her thighs. She also wore an unzipped jacket as it was quite windy out. Cancer realized,"I'm completely underdressed!"

He started to space out and kept thinking of what others might think of him if they were to see Aries and him outside together. Or if any of his club mates or classmates saw them. He wasn't popular to begin with but he didn't want to drag Aries down with him.

As he wore a dazed expression while his mind ran through all the apologises he would have to give Aries afterwards. Aries had her own thoughts,"Great...I'm with Cancer. The guy who I now like for some weird reason."

She then looked at Cancer with his bored dace and his very simple clothing choice. She then thought,"Maybe he thinks I'm boring. Or maybe he saw my outfit and thought I was trying to hard."

She suddenly heard a loud thud. She looked to her right to see Cancer squating down holding his head in pain in front of a light pole.

She couldn't help but giggle at the scene and Cancer's clumsiness. Cancer groaned and looked up at Aries giggling and could not help but join in.

After he recovered, they went to get lunch in a small cafe they stumbled upon. Cancer ordered chicken and waffles while Aries ordered eggs benedict.

They talked as they ate,"So Cancer, how's the food here?"

Cancer swallowed his bite of food,"The chicken and waffles at the ol'diner are better but these ain't bad either. How's yours?"

Aries cut him a piece,"Here, try some."

Cancer used his fork to try and take the piece but Aries recoiled and smiled,"Say ah."

Cancer felt like slamming his head into the table but he was commited already. He hesitantly opened his mouth. Aries carefully fed him a bite of her food. Cancer quickly recoiled looking around as he swallowed the bite hoping no one saw them.

Aries giggled,"Cancer, calm down."

Cancer pulled his hood over his eyes while hurried eating his food to avoid conversation. Aries scratched the back of her neck,"Hey, Cancer. How is the situation with...Leo."

Cancer stopped eating, his fork suspended in the air. Cancer chuckled nervously,"Well, um. You know, heartbreak is fun...you know finding stuff to distract yourself. I heard physical pain is a good mental anesthetic."

Aries suddenly grabbed his arm and pulled up his sleeve to check his wrist. As Aries felt around his wrist, he laughed,"Aries, chill. That was a joke."

Aries pouted and crossed her arms,"Don't joke about that stuff Cancer." "Okay, okay. So Aries. Anyone catch your eye?"

Aries blushed,"Well, right now that now that person is you." "Love potion. Anyone before me?" "I, rather not say. It's embarrassing."

Cancer waved his hand dismissively,"It's fine. Hey you wanna get out of here?" "Sure."

Cancer and Aries stood up and walked to the counter. The girl at the counter said,"$22.45 please."

Aries was about to pull out her purse but Cancer pulled out his wallet first amd gave the girl at the counter the money and said,"Keep the change. Have a great day."
