THANKSGIVING
PART THREE"That's it. I'm absolutely stuffed. I don't feel sexy anymore," Levi says to his girlfriend, and everyone laughs.
Jade slides a hand onto his tummy and leans over to kiss his cheek. "Babe, you're always sexy," she tells him.
Harry chuckles as he stands up. He starts to collect the empty dinner plates, but Luna stops him.
"I can do it! You cooked everything, so it's the least I could do. Go watch the game! I'll clean up," she tells Harry. She takes the empty plates from him. She then smiles as Gia offers to help her.
"Are you girls sure? I don't mind doing it."
"We're sure... go on," Luna says once more time. She smiles at him before leaving to the kitchen with Gia.
He then takes a look around. The other girls, Jade and Talia, enter the kitchen with Luna and Gia and he hears giggling. He smiles when it seems Luna has been getting along with them. He's about to join the guys gathering around the TV, but he feels his phone vibrate in his pocket. He pulls it out and grins when it's his mum giving him a ring through facetime.
With his finger, he slides it against the screen to answer. "Hi, beautiful," he tells his mother.
"Hi, my baby! I was just getting ready for bed, but I thought I'd give you a ring. What are you up to and why do you look so handsome?" She asks. Half of her beautiful face is showing on Harry's screen. He can't see her smile, but Harry knows she's smiling.
"Mum... It's Thanksgiving. Didn't I tell you my flatmate and I were hosting a party today? I called you for your turkey recipe."
"Oh, right! I hope this isn't a bad time," she says. She finally adjusts her phone and Harry can see her entire face.
He chuckles and shakes his head. "No, actually. We just finished eating. Is everything good?"
"Everything is lovely, dear! I just missed your face and voice is all," she tells him.
He smiles wide and opens his mouth to talk, but looks up when Luna is approaching him. "Listen, I'm so glad you called," he then says. He waves Luna to come even closer and he quickly decides it would be a good idea to introduce his mum to Luna via facetime. It would be the very first time. "I want you to meet my girlfriend."
"Your girlfriend! Oh my," his mum says. Harry has already told his mum all about her.
"Yeah! Mum, this is Luna. Luna, this is my mum," he introduces.
For a moment, Luna stops in her tracks. She's looking at Harry then gets closer to look down at his phone. "Oh, hi!" She smiles and laughs a little. She might be nervous. "It's so nice to meet you, Mrs.-"
"Anne. You can call me Anne, dear." She's smiling through the screen. "It's nice to finally meet you, too. I've heard wonderful things! I wish I could hug you in person. I have to say, you're really beautiful, Luna."
"Mum," Harry says and laughs a little as he keeps holding his phone up.
"Why thank you... I mean, if you would have said you were Harry's sister, I would have believed you!" She laughs.
"I like her already, Harry," his mother says. She smiles wide. "Honey, if you're still coming over for Christmas as we've planned, you have to bring her, too! Luna, I hope you don't already have plans."
"Mum, I haven't gotten around to asking her yet," Harry mumbles softly. It's been in his mind for a while. The moment they came back from Iowa, he's daydreamed about what it would be like to take her to his hometown. He was going to tell Luna he plans on spending Christmas in England. He was also going to ask her if she would come with him. Though, his mum beat him to it. He could feel Luna look up at him after what he had mumbled.
