* Catherine - 7 Years Later *

'Princess what have I told you about doing this all by yourself' Jesse scolded as he bent down to help me pick up the toys from our living room floor.

'Daddy called you princess' our daughter giggled as she pointed a jam covered finger at me.

'Here Josie, take your toys and put them away. Oh and find your brother while you're at it' Jesse said as he leant down and placed a tender kiss on our little girls head before he ushered her out of the room.

'I'm not completely useless' I pouted.

'No but you are VERY pregnant' he grinned as he rubbed my very swollen belly.

He was right, I was currently very heavily pregnant with our third and fourth babies. Thinking about the fact that we would very soon have four children under the age of six I once again started to panic.

'Princess we'll be fine' he said as he pulled me over to the couch and settled me into his lap.

Even after all this time this damn green eyed boy could read me like an open book.

'You are an amazing mum' he whispered as he stroked my hair. I closed my eyes and relaxed into his body thinking about everything that had happened that had led us to this very moment in time.

Who would have thought that the first time Jesse and I had slept together I'd end up pregnant, well it's not like we could really have been surprised, it does happen when two people have unprotected sex.

When I found out I was pregnant at seventeen I thought my whole world would fall apart but not Jesse, he was surprisingly calm and ridiculously excited about the news.

Even though we were still in high school he promised me we would make it work and that's exactly what we did.

When we told my dad I could tell he was disappointed but he did his best to never show it and he supported us as best as he could, mum on the other hand was a completely different kettle of fish.

Mum didn't talk to me for about six months after we broke the news to her, looking back I think she was just already so overwhelmed with my sister and being away from dad for so long that our news was the thing to finally push her over the edge.

Thankfully though she eventually came around.

After my brother Christian calmed down and stopped threatening to kill Jesse he actually got to know him and the two have been best friends ever since.

Through my first pregnancy I don't know what we would have done or how we would have survived without Jesse's mum. With dad still working away all the time she insisted I move in with her and Jesse so that she could be close by if we ever needed anything. She helped with doctors appointments and school and she was even the one who rushed me to the delivery room when my waters had broken while Jesse was out of town playing football.

The night I went into labor Jesse had left the biggest game of his life to be with me. Our school team had made it to the national grand final game, there were scouts and coaches from the professional league teams watching all of the up and coming talent. Our teams coach had already told us he had fielded multiple enquires about Jesse and we were both secretly hoping that he would land a contract to play professionally.

When his mum finally got hold of someone at the game and they relayed the message to Jesse he ran right of field and drove straight to the hospital to be by my side as I gave birth to a tiny little dark haired girl.

Josie.

Jesse had picked the name and as soon as I heard it I was instantly in love with it. I knew why he had selected the name and for that I would always love him.
