It's 3 PM, one hour away before I get off work. I think Ian is mad at me because we haven't talked since morning. Ian is at the cashier, I was about to go to him until Aaron walks in the store.

"Noisy," he puts his hand up.
"You do come," I walk over.
"For you," he smiles.
"What do you like here?" I ask him.
"You."
"I say bread..."
"You pick it," he hands me over the tray.
"What's your preference?" I ask.
"You."
"Gosh, are you buying or not?" I put the tray down.
"Okay okay, calm down, just pick something with sausages."
I pick three of them, "here, go to the cashier."
"No, switch with that guy," he looks at Ian.
I sigh, "come over."
"Ian, sorry, I will take over your place for now."

Ian walked away and didn't say anything.

"Your total is $7.50," I put them in the bag.
"Here," he gives $100.
I sigh again, "do you have something smaller?"
"You can keep the change, it's a bonus for you."
"Aaron, if you are not serious about this, visit another store."
"Why? I can't give you the change?"
"I don't accept something like this."
"You should accept my change, your customers are waiting..." he looks at the line.
I give him back the money, "I will pay for this, we will talk at home."
"You have like an hour left, I will wait for you."
"No thank you, please leave, my customers are waiting," I point at the door.
"Then...See you," he waves at me.

I'm pretty sure Aaron comes here not because he wants to eat bread, but to find problems. Now I see what Ian means when he says that Aaron is too hard to handle. I'm so frustrated with him.

✌︎︎

It's 4 PM and we are ready to get off work. I see Ian cleaning the table, I come over.

"Ian?"
He looks over, "aren't you leaving?"
"I'm waiting for you, are you not done?"
"3 more tables, you can go ahead," he says.
"It's okay, I can wait for you."

Ian's done with the tables and put his backpack on.

Ian walks over, "you don't have to wait for me."
"I think it's better to go together," I smile.

We walk out.

"Noisy," Aaron calls me.
"You didn't leave?" I look surprised.
"I decided that I should wait for you. Get in the car."
"I think I'm fine, I'm going on the bus," I tell him.
"Why? It's more convenient if you get in."
"Let's go, Ian," I say.
Aaron grabs my hand, "just get in my car. I've been waiting for you."
"Aaron, I never ask you to do so. Let go."
"Noisy-" Aaron got cut off by Ian.
"Let her go, she said no."
Aaron looks annoyed, "none of your business."
"Luna says that she doesn't want to get in."
"We live together," Aaron stares at Ian.
"That doesn't give you the right to take her," Ian comes closer to him.
"I guess you never change..." Aaron tells him.
"So do you. Well, I'm not going to let you be ahead of me this time," Ian grabs my hand and we walk to the bus.
"GOSH!" Aaron kicks the floor.

✌︎︎

It's my first time seeing Ian like this. The way he talks to Aaron and how he's so determined about it.

"You can let go now," I tell him.
"Oh..." he let go.
"Thanks for earlier."
"No need. I just want to teach him how to accept one's refusal," he looks happy.
"Oooh, you are smiling. I thought you were mad at me."
He looks at me, "did it show?"
I laugh, "of course, I thought you will ignore me."
"Why did you refuse his ride?" Ian asks me.
"Well, I'm going on the bus so..."
"Is that it?"
"Hm?"
"When I was talking about him you were siding with him. What's up with the sudden change?" He asks.
"It's not like I sided with him, it's just that I know he has his reasons," I try to explain.
"That's the same thing," he says.
"Did it seem that way? Ha."
