I walk into my room, standing near the door hearing Luna already closes hers. Why did I agree to this? It wasn't supposed to be like this. We didn't get far, and now she's saying for us to take things slowly? She wants me to be with someone who I don't love, moreover, it's for the sake of us? Because of someone, we have to suppress our feelings? Although I don't know how Luna feels about me, she won't admit how she feels.

But, this is what Luna wants. She's trying to take things slowly and straighten things out. But this way? I feel like it will make Krystal have more hopes on me, it's not right.

I pull out my phone, calling Krystal.

"Where are you?" I ask.
"Why? Aren't you busy caring for that girl?"
"Tell me where you are, I will go there right now," I say.
"The bridge near your house," she replies.
"Why are you there?"
There's a silent, "um...I just think that the view here looks amazing, perfect to do something unexpected."
"Stay there, I will be right there. Don't do anything," I hang up.

"Krystal!" I hurry over to her.
She looks back, "you actually come? Wow."
"Are you okay? Let's go back in the car, it's windy."
"Why did you come here?" She asks.
"I...I just want to help you."
"Why? You think I will do something stupid here?" She laughs.
"Let's get in the car and talk."
She shakes her head, "so, you left her for me?"
"Right now, let's not talk about Luna. Focus on you."
She smiles, "then, take me back to my home. My dad wants to see you, it's been a while."
I nod, "get in," I open the door for her.

"Oh, look who's here!" Krystal's dad gives me a welcoming hug.
"How are you doing?"
He laughs, "well. Are you hanging out with my daughter?"
I nod, "I'm taking her back, now she's here, I think I need to go."
Krystal comes over and links my arm, "dad, Aaron cares for me a lot. He even came to pick me up from the bridge, thinking I might do something bad."
Krystal's dad looks worried, "Oh no, next time don't go there. It's dangerous. Thanks, Aaron for caring about her."
"It's nothing, it's my duty to make sure she's safe," I smile.
"Why don't you stay here longer? I want to be with you," she pouts.
"Is it okay for you?" Her dad asks.
"Uh...okay," I nod.

I'm staying here to take care of Krystal, I think her mood changes as I stay with her. She's more lively. But, I feel like I'm deceiving her, the consequences of this will be a problem.

I come down for dinner, but Aaron isn't here. Aunt Ava says that he will be staying for dinner at Krystal's house. I don't know how to feel about this, but I think it's for the best. For us.

"What's wrong sweetie, you are spacing out," my mom touches my shoulder.
I look at her, "Oh, nothing."
"Is something wrong?" Aunt Ava looks concerning.
I smile, "nothing."

I finish eating and decide to go to the backyard for a walk.

"Luna," my mom calls me.
"Are you here for a walk too?"
"I just want to check on you, let's sit over there and talk," she takes me to the chair swing.
"There's nothing wrong mom," I lie.
She shakes her head, "no, no. Tell me what's on your mind. Keeping it to yourself will only make your stomach bigger."
I laugh, "your joke."
She pats my hair, "for real, do you mind telling me. I'm all ears."
I nod, "actually, I want to love."
"Love?" Her eyes spark.
"I want to love, but I don't know where this love is leading to. I feel like I'm hurting someone's feelings."
"Who's the person?"
I look at her, "the boy that I first met here."
She gasps, "I KNEW IT!"
"Huh?"
She laughs, "we've known sweetie. Aunt Ava is good at predicting."
"But, what does it matter? When it's hard for us."
She shakes her head, "no Luna, are you saying Krystal is in your way?"
"How did you know-"
"Come on, everyone knows that Krystal has been pursuing Aaron for a long time. But, Aaron won't buy."
"Are you saying that Aaron was surrounded by many girls, but he never likes any of them?"
"He likes you," she says.
"What?"
"He likes someone like you," she smiles.
"Is that why we easily argue and get along?" I ask.
She nods, "I bet when Aaron met you, he thinks that you are no match for him. But by time, I'm pretty sure he likes you. We already know that Aaron likes you."
"Since when?"
"Should I tell you a secret? If Aaron knows that I tell you this then he's gonna be embarrassed."
I look at her, "what kind of secret will make him be that?"
"So, 3  weeks before you moved into this house, that's when Aaron's father was still alive. Aaron was a happy boy, he's friendly to everyone. That time, that's when I'm in the process of adopting you, Luna. So whenever I go home, I would always talk about you. There's also Aaron that was listening, I showed him your photo. Back then, he had a lot of friends but somehow he says that he's excited to meet you, hoping that you and he can be good friends. He knew that you will live here, so he was planning to get you a welcoming present. He already bought it, but I don't know what he got for you at that time. But then, Aaron's father passed away. The boy changed, he behaves differently to the people around him. So the first time you came here, he didn't seem happy and that's why you two always argued. Not actually because he hates you, but because his feelings at that time affected his behavior."
I nod in amusement, "Sooooo, he was planning to welcome me?"
She nods, "yes, if not for what happened then I think you two would become very close. He was so excited to give you the present and introduce you to his friends."
"For the whole time, I always try to take his actions differently. I kept saying that he has his reasons, so it should not be a big deal. But, what he did back then was not because he wants to, he's just unsure."
"Yup, Aaron is someone that usually doesn't tell what's on his mind easily. But, you can only know it by his actions," she says.
"His eyes," I say. "His eyes make me sad. He's smiling but his eyes say the opposite. I think that's why I became attached to him, no matter how much I want to stay far away from him, I kept coming back to check on him."
"And you call that dependent," my mom smiles.
"Dependent?"
She nods, "you two need each other, you need each other to lean on so that you will become the real you. I think that's what makes humans bond strong, we break down but get up by someone's help. They are like a wall for you to lean on, also from that wall, together you can try to break it. To find your happiness."
"He doesn't know that I need that protection," I say.
"It's not too late, because Aaron's heart is at you. You feel the same way too."
"I act like it was nothing when I sent him to Krystal, he might think that I take his feelings for nothing."
"Luna, no matter what I think Aaron will understand you, you are the one he loves," she pats me on the back.
I stand up, "I got to go, thanks, mom. I think I found an answer."
"FOLLOW YOUR HEART!" She shouts from behind.

I run into my room, calling Aaron.

"Please pick up," I mumble.

He doesn't pick up on the first try. I'm calling again.

"Hello? Aaron?"
"Aaron's sleeping, he must be tired," I hear a girl's voice, obviously Krystal.
"Why is he sleeping there?"
"I don't know, he might be tired from taking care of me so rest is normal."
"I-"
"Hey, I don't think Aaron needs you anymore. Oh yeah, do you know what he did to me?"
"What?"
"He must be tired, I think he hasn't recovered from the trip that we went on. He was sleeping then he....," she pauses, "he kisses me passionately," she laughs.
"What?"
"I'm saying that you already lost him, he's mine now. If you don't believe what I say then I can send you the video," she giggles.
"I don't need you to send me something like that," I say.
"Why? Are you scared to see that his attention is on me, speaking about it, I yearn for that kiss for a long time already? Gosh. He's still sleeping so I'm expecting he will pull me for another kiss. What do you think?"
"Crazy-"
She laughs, "now...you are just nothing to him. I will act like you never called him, I'm deleting your missed calls. Also, he's going to sleep here. My dad will notify Aunt Ava later. So, Luna...you can peacefully go to bed and cry your heart out. This is why you should never come near him in the beginning, now look, he's heartbroken because of you, but since I'm here with him, he must have realized his feelings for me," she hangs up.
"Hello?"

I sit down, trying to think about what just happened. What? Aaron did what? On Krystal?

I don't know if this is something to easily break myself down like this. I missed the chance, I didn't get to tell him. I've been dragging this for so long, now there's nothing. Aaron must have lost control and did that on Krystal for no reason, but why did he do that? Or is it just a scheme from Krystal? But, I did hurt Aaron's feelings. I don't deserve him, he needs someone better. But not Krystal, no way it's Krystal. He can be with anyone but not Krystal, not her.

My lips tremble as tears flow down my cheeks, my hands moving back and forth on my chest trying to calm myself down. This is not how I want it to be, my love for you couldn't reach your heart, you don't know it yet.
