I go in the car and it's silent. I look out the window and Aaron just stares at me the whole time. It's so awkward that I don't know what to say. It seems like I'm the only one that keeps thinking about the kiss. I see Aaron's face smiling while he wiggles his foot.

We arrive at the camping site and I walk fastly over to my mom and Aunt Ava who is preparing dinner inside the wooden house.

"May I help?" I ask them.
"It's okay, we are almost finished," my mom says.
I nod, "then we will wait at the table."

"Aaron, you didn't wait for me earlier," Krystal complains.
"We came back anyways," Aaron says.
Krystal sounds frustrated, "I want to go with you though..."
"We are back...," Aaron tells her.
"We went early so that we can come back before the sun sets," I say.
Krystal looks at me, "still."
"Is dinner prepared yet?" Aaron asks me.
"They are almost done," I sit down.

Dinner is ready and we start to eat. I wash the dishes after because I volunteer to do so since I have nothing to do.

Aaron comes over, "let me help you."
"No, don't. I'm almost done," I stop him.
He looks at me, "I hope you don't mind what I did earlier, and I'm not that type that kisses anyone. I was sincere."
I stop what I'm doing, "you should have given me a warning."
"I did, it's just that you don't catch on."
I sigh, "that's the same thing. You never ask for my opinion and do whatever you want. Do you know how startled I was?"
He looks at me closely, "perhaps....was that your first kiss?'
"What? What do you know? Go back to your tent."
"It seems like it. I would be so honored," he smiles.
"It doesn't seem like it's your first time," I say.
"Why? You think it was not my first time with you?" He asks.
I nod, "you seem to know things way too well."
He smiles, "of course, when I was abroad everyone was head over heels for me."
I laugh, "gosh, then I don't get why you are interested in someone like me."
He touches my arm, "don't say that. You are an amazing person and deserve to be loved. I can be that person for you."
"Thanks, Aaron," I say.
"What does that mean? Are you saying that you accept my feelings?"
"Give me some time, I will give you an answer," I look at him.
He jumps, "really? That means you are giving me a chance..."
"Do you want to have a walk with me when I'm finished with the dishes?" I ask.
"I will be more glad to do so," he smiles.

When I'm done with my dishes, Aaron and I start to walk around the beach.

"I never expect you to ask me for a walk," Aaron says.
"Didn't you say you won't be surprised if I like you?" I look at him.
I open his mouth, "are you...perhaps?"
I laugh, "the air is so refreshing. I like it here the best when it's morning and night."
"You are changing the topic again," he says.
"I had fun today. Also, these days I met a lot of people. They took good care of me and we all had fun. I'm happy," I smile.
"I'm glad that you are happy, it makes me happy too. I love seeing your smile, somehow it also cheers me up."
I look at him, "Aaron, do you know that you make me laugh a lot?"
He smiles, "me? I'm glad that I can do that. Come to me when you are sad, I will cheer you up."
"Also...come to me when things get hard. I will be there for you," I tell him.
"So we will be there for each other. I like that. No, I love it," he smiles.
"Are you going to lock yourself up again when it rains?" I ask him.
He takes a step forward and stands in front of me, "if only you are there for me, I will try to improve with this situation I'm having."
"What if I go to work?" I look sorry.
"It's not like I can stop you from working, whatever comes will come. But you said you will be by my side. That's all I need," he says.
I nod, "I think you improved a lot since then. I like to see the strong and happy Aaron."
"Thanks to you," he pats on my shoulder.
"At this point, I feel like we are friends," I say.
"Weren't we always friends? I mean, well, since you think it that way then I can't help it. We can be friends but I cannot say if we will be the same forever."
"True, it happens. From friends to lovers is not a big deal," I say.
"Because one just needs encouragement to take a step forward," Aaron adds on.
I look at him, "you know it well."
"Of course because Krystal is doing that step."
"Same," I mumble.
"Huh? Same what?" He asks.
"Oh...nothing it's just that I have a friend I know and someone likes her, but they are friends. But he's taking a step forward, that's all."
He nods, "you don't have to lie to me. I know already. It's Ian isn't it?"
I look at him, "how much do you know?"
He laughs, "well didn't he said that he will take it all the way with you. I already know that he likes you since then."
"So am I the only slow one here?"
He nods, "but that's what makes you cute."
"Gosh."
"I don't know how you feel towards Ian...but he must be lucky if you like him."
"Why?" I ask.
"Because you are like our comfort zone. It feels safe to be with and is trustable. Everything about you speaks comfortable," he says.
"Aaron, do you know you've been saying a lot of good things about me lately?"
He nods, "it's because you deserve to hear all of these. It's a waste to keep all of this inside."
"Thank you, thanks for trusting me and feel safe. I also feel happy when I'm with you too, although I don't say it. But, being around you makes me forget what I'm going through at the moment. Your presence makes me feel good and excited."
"You are slowly liking me, it's just that you don't realize it yet," Aaron looks at the ocean.
"When I'm sure about my feelings, you will be the first one to know," I tell him.
"Saying that you like me, right?"
I laugh, "I'm bad at expressing myself. But, I'm willing to change it for you. I told you already, give me some time."
"I will. I will wait for you. I can wait too," he says.
"Then it's all good, maybe your patience will pay off one day," I smile.
"If you make it happen...," he looks at me.
