[PRACTICE WITH ME?]

[Name] pov...

Its been a week since I started attending school at Fukurodani, and honestly it has been very uneventful, but I don't mind. It is sort of comforting not having to worry about where to go next.

It is currently 7:35AM and I was in the bathroom looking at my (h/c) dyed hair styled in a (hairstyle of choice), unsatisfied with how it looked. I grab some barrette's from a jar in my room and put them in place them in my hair. I smile now satisfied with my appearance.

I walk out of the bathroom noticing Kōtarō siting, eating some cereal. I usually skip breakfast because I simply cannot eat this early. Also, I still am adjusting to the timezone.

"...(f/n)...(f/n)!" I realize that I had zoned out again.

"What's up?" I respond.

He pointed at the clock. It was now 7:45AM.

As we do every morning, we head out the door, almost running towards school.

I start to see the faint sight of school up ahead so I decide to slow down a bit with my brother that wasn't an option.

His outgoing and standout nature really did contradict my more quiet and blending in as much as possible nature.

He almost pulled my hand out of its socket by pulling me towards his best friend, Akaashi.

This is how our mornings usually go. Us rushing out of the house, hurrying to school and spending whatever time we have before class with Akaashi. I didn't mind his presence and I believe the feeling is mutual.

We don't really talk much apart from the hello's and goodbye's at the beginnings and endings of each day.

I didn't mind. I am content with being just acquaintances.

"Okay, bye Kōtarō." I waved goodbye to both of them before walking towards my first class of the day.

—————

It is now lunchtime. I usually eat alone in the library. My brother insists on eating with me but I don't want to mess up his routines besides I actually don't mind the time to myself. I was quite into my book when someone tapped me on the shoulder. Much to my surprise, it was Akaashi.

"Hey, do you need something?" I ask bluntly.

"Sorry to bother you, but Bokuto had to go manage some captain things and asked me to keep you company. But I can leave if you want." He probably thinks I am being mean, he doesn't know that my personality is just like that.

"Okay, sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. You can stay, I don't mind." I immediately return to my open book.

"What're you reading?" I look up to see a very curious Akaashi looking back at me.

"Um, its (favorite book) by (the author)." I point at the cover of the book.

"I love that book."

"You don't say?" I answer kind of nonchalantly, still very entranced by the book in question.

"Yeah, I definitely didn't expect the twist at the end."

"You're lucky I am only rereading this book because you would have just given away one of the best parts of the book if I was a first time reader." I give him a questioning look.

"I guess I am lucky. Bokuto has said how scared he is of you when you're angry." He states.

Hearing my brothers name, has now shifted my full attention to the male sitting in-front of me. Our gazes meet and he quickly looks away.

"Oh yeah? What else has he said?" I wasn't surprised that Kōtarō talks about me since I don't really talk to anyone at school.

"Oh just that you're a very gentle and sensitive person." Couldn't he said anything else and not brought up my emotional characteristics? Not that I would let anyone see that side of me again, however.

"And that you played Volleyball too. I believe your position is setter, correct me if I am wrong." He looks at me, as if waiting for my confirmation.

"Yes, I play setter. I don't really play on a team anymore because I wouldn't live in a city for an extended amount of time so I never actually stayed on a team too long. So I just play for fun now. What about you?"

We are both suddenly interrupted by a very bored Kōtarō at the library entrance. He walks over to where we were seated and pulls up a chair.

"Hey,(f/n)!" He almost shouts. I shush him before we're kicked out of the library.

"Sorry, Sorry, but I wanted to ask if you could help us out at practice today. We could really use an extra setter to help with drills. You already stay after school to wait for me so its not completely out of your way. So?" He looks at me, hoping that I accept his proposal.

"Okay fine, but just this once okay?" I mean I'm not completely against the idea I do miss practicing and all that.

"Yay, thank you so much (n/n)." My brother pulls me into a surprise hug.

Akaashi looks at me with a little smirk.

"(n/n) huh?" He says only loud enough for me to hear.

"Shut up." I cross my arms.

The bell rings and I get up putting away my book and start walking towards my class.

—————

It's now the last five minutes of my last class. I begin thinking about how quote on quote practice will be. I mean I already agreed to this and if I don't show up I will never hear the end of it from my brother.

I walk towards the gym as slow as possible, kind of hoping I could cancel last minute.

I get to the gym but stop before entering. I open the door to see Kōtarō just talking to some of his teammates. They all stare at me. It seems like my idiot of a brother hasn't even noticed I was there, seems like not much has changed.

Akaashi tapped him on the shoulder.

"Oh, sorry (f/n). Everyone this is my twin (f/n)."

I greet everyone and walk to go change, already a bit irritated.
