"Just tell me where you need me." I tell Kōtarō when I walk out of the changing room with some shorts and a loose t-shirt. Luckily, I had some volleyball shoes in my locker because I secretly wanted to practice volleyball sometime.

"Go on that court, I will join you in a minute." I do as I'm told and walk over to the court.

I feel someone's gaze at me while I walk over.

My eyes wander over and see Akaashi starring at me. I look away to not make things awkward.

I see my brother splitting up the rest of the team in various teams.

A team manager named Shirofuku, Yukie is assigned to my court to throw me some volleyballs.

Kōtarō walks over and the drills begin.

I played with my brother before so I am familiar with his preferences and what he is most likely to hit. However, it amazes me how much he has improved since the last time we played which was about 10 months ago. He is someone who I hold to a high standard because of how quickly he grows both in a physical and personal way. I guess you could say I look up to him in a way. He is everything I wanted to be. Volleyball Team Captain, Ace, and an incredible friend/sibling.

Well enough about my brother.

(a/n please bare with me bc I don't play volleyball and I also don't know much about it just the basics from the anime.)

I get thrown a ball and I quickly set it upwards. My brother leaps up and sends it flying towards the opposite side.

We continue for the what seems like eternity until Shirofuku sends a ball a little too much to the left. I think I can get to it in time but instead I lose my balance and right when I was getting ready to make contact with the floor I feel someone catch me.

"Just like Bokuto leaping without care, I guess you guys really are twins." I hear Akaashi say as I regained my composure.

"Thank you."

Him catching me just made an even bigger fuss than me falling would have caused.

We continue practicing until its break time, which felt like it took to long to arrive. I grab my water bottle that I brought out with me knowing that I would probably need it since I feel severely out of shape but its not too bad.

"You're actually a better setter than I thought." I hear Akaashi state from behind me.

"I am going to pretend that wasn't a backhanded compliment. You're not bad either." I admit, which wasn't a lie, he's better than me.

"You being nice? That's new." He says with a slight smirk.

"You barely have room to talk." I shot back.

"C'mon you two." My brother says from afar.

I nod as I set my water bottle down and start walking towards him, leaving Akaashi.

—————

It is now the end of practice and I am currently changing out of my sweaty clothes back into my uniform. I'm so tired, I am not sure I will be able to make it home if I am being honest. I slip on my shoes and walk towards the door of the gym.

"Hey!" I turn around to see if someone was calling me and it was Akaashi with something in his hand.

"What is it?" I look into his hand to see my barret.

"You left this on the table during Lunch."

"Oh thank you, I was wondering where the other one was." I get it from his hand and slip it into my book bag.

"Well, bye now." I end the conversation and turn around walking towards the exit.

Kōtarō soon joins me and we home together.

"So I was wondering..."

"What is it, Kōtarō?"

"I asked coach if maybe you could be one of our team managers and he agreed. This could be good for us. You get to train with us and spend time with me, it's a win win situation, (n/n)." He stares at me with a huge grin on his face.

"Oh, I don't know. I mean training with you does sound nice. It would feel like the middle school days." I tell him.

"And you could also spend more time with the team and Akaashi, since you guys seem to be getting along well." My ears start to feel hot. How did he get that idea?

"Okay, I'll do it but I'm doing it for you not for anyone else." I clarify, just incase he was getting anymore ideas.

I realize what if I had given Akaashi the wrong idea. The idea that I want anything other than friendship. I'm too oblivious for these things, I was just being myself. Well I must not jump to conclusions just yet. Hopefully, my fears don't become a reality because then I won't know what I'd do.

"This calls for a celebration,(f/n)! Can you bake that double chocolate cake that I like?" My brother breaks my train of thought.

"If we have the ingredients, yes." I respond, it makes me happy how much he enjoys my dishes.

And so we continued home. When got there Kōtarō wasted no time and rapidly checked the pantry for all the ingredients, putting them all on the kitchen counter. I began making the cake right after I took a nice shower and got into some comfy clothes.
