ARTEMIS AND ASTORIA PESTERED DRACO INTO JOINING THEM AT THE LIBRARY. Though, Artemis was sure that Draco was going to say yes the second Astoria asked, but she didn't mention that.
"You know, I have a lot better things to do on a Friday night,"Draco complained.
"Yeah, then why aren't you?"Astoria smirked, folding her arm as she leaned back in her chair.
"What could you possibly have to do?"Artemis asked curiously, arching a brow.
"Why do you lot assume I don't have a life?"
"What? Do you got a hot date with Pansy?"Astoria asked.
"Absolutely not,"Draco answered, nervously picking at the edge of his sleeve.
"Stop acting like you don't like our company, Dray..."Astoria complained.
"I do...I like your company..."Draco told her quickly, and Artemis stifled a laugh at Draco's quick reply. It didn't take a genius to see that Draco might actually care about Astoria."I just..I have other things I need to do, that are...personal."
"Is everything okay?"Artemis finally asked,"I just...you seem down and stressed."
"Yeah, yeah, it's just...I've had to really help my mum now that my dad is in Azkaban. I just...have a lot responsibilities and I'm worried about my mum. She's not like my dad, you know? She's still...good."
"If you need anything—"
"I'll tell you both, but for now, I want to forget about it,"Draco frowned, looking away for a moment.
"You know, I'm just glad to be back at Hogwarts,"Artemis sighed out,"And being around people, I have missed that."
"What are you on about?"Draco asked with a frown.
"After the article in the Prophet...my parents are so fucking worried someone is going to hurt me that...they wouldn't let go anywhere until later in the summer."
"Because of the rumors..."Draco prodded,"About Merlin... and you being...is it true?"
Artemis chuckled a little bit with a smirk,"What do you think?"
"I—uh."
"It's obviously true, you dumbarse,"Astoria told him,"You saw what she did last year."
"So it's true?"
"It might be,"Artemis teased.
"Artemis..."Draco complained.
"Yes?"
He gave her a pointed look before he sighed,"Can't you just tell me? I bet Potter and the rest of your friends know."
"They do, and it's true, okay?"Artemis whispered."And people want me dead or on their side, and frankly, I don't want those nasty death eaters after me. I'd rather die."
