ARTEMIS LUPIN WAS NOT COMPLETELY SURE HOW SHE ENDED UP HERE. Yet, here she was with Draco Malfoy and Astoria Greengrass in the depths of the library. Thrown across the table were the books needed for the potions essay due the next morning. Not to mention, they would be studying for the major exams.
Artemis and Draco has been partnered up in Potions at the start of the new semester. Art was sure that Draco had played his cards right to get partnered with her, but there was no evidence.
Astoria had joined Artemis for their new routine of studying together. She could study with Hermione anymore because she had gotten mean with the approaching O.W.L.S.
"My brain feels like it's going to burst,"Astoria complained, slamming her head against the table. The black-haired girl was not very helpful when it came to studying. She mostly spent the time complaining. Not that Artemis and Draco minded."How can you read for Thai long?"
"Reading is an escape for most people,"Draco answered as he flipped through the papers of a Defense against the Dark Arts book. It was not one of the books that Umbridge assigned. Apparently, Draco didn't quite agree with the way she taught. Though, he had been turned into one of her watchdogs per his father's request and Draco would do anything to impress him.
"Yeah, not textbooks, Draco,"Astoria replied.
"Some of us have pushy parents that want us to make good grades,"Artemis added.
"Why are you even studying for potions, Artemis? Everyone with a brain cell knows you are the best in the class,"Draco mentioned.
"She blows up every potion,"Astoria said incredulously.
"On purpose!"Draco told her.
Astoria just shook her head,"Be quiet, Malfoy, you'll get us yelled at." The raven-haired girl leaned past the bookshelf to see if Madam Pince had noticed. She leaned back with a smile,"We're good."
"The last thing I need is another detention,"Artemis murmured,"It used to be fun, but now...I mean, the woman is literally scarring me."
"Wait, what?"Astoria looked baffled and Artemis showcased her hand with shame."Holy fucks. This woman has got to go."
Draco just stayed quiet for a moment,"I..I didn't know,"He said with a frown, fiddling with the leather bracelet on his wrist."I don't agree with a lot of the things she does, but even you have to admit that Dumbledore is shady."
"No one is saying he isn't, and I rarely agree with the shit Dumbledore has put us through, but he is better than that god-awful woman."
"I guess that's fair,"Draco commented."My father is in complete support of Umbridge, but...the things she's done to the school, all the rules, it makes Hogwarts...not Hogwarts."
"Last time, Hogwarts is our home, not hers."
"Why do you always talk like you're gonna start a revolution?"Astoria questioned with a joking smile.
