When we arrive at my house he helps himself to a two lister of coke and finds the glasses in the pantry. "Hey asshole," hitting his butt, trying to stop myself from laughing. "Pour me a drink please?" I ask with a smile and he laughs.

"Yeah I gotcha babe." He says and hands me the glass he had just poured for himself.

"Thanks." I say and take a seat at the table, pulling my knees up to my chest.
My mind wonders off to Tyler, I let out a shuddering breath and close my eyes, taking a nice sip of the cold liquid, letting taste thrill my taste buds.

We walk to the laundry room and talk as we put his clothes into the washer, hopefully the paint will come out.

I twist the piercing on my lip as I think. Why would he come to LA? Why would he pull me aside like that? What the hell?

Mathews p.o.v
I know something's up, she's been different today, it's odd. She's leaning against her laundry room door, eyes caught in the atmosphere and we fingers slowly twirl the lip ring that lays upon her top lip.

Something's happened, I have no idea what, but that's the case, I know her.

"Babe." I say pulling her into my chest and she looks up.

"Yeah?"

"Penny for your thoughts." I say and she smiles at the old saying,

"I um.. Ran into someone I knew yesterday and it's just caught me off guard I guess." she says, telling her half truth.

"Who'd you run into babe?" I ask, almost in a whisper. I've never seen her act so concentrated, she's literally lost in her own thoughts.

"Um... Swear you won't tell a soul?" She asks and the nervousness is building on my wind pipe.

"You have my word Mary Anne." I tell her and her eyes look away.

"You have to promise me you won't do anything." She says, her eyes staring into mine, like they're burning into my soul.

"I promise babe. What wrong?" I ask and she just looks at her hands.

"I- I ran into Tyler Dawson."

All I see is red.
