I wake up in a bed that has a yellow comforter, white pillows, and white sheets. I'm dressed in black and white plaid pajama pants and a black tank top. I smell breakfast and my stomach yells at me because it's twisting in hungry pain.
I pull myself out of the unknown bed, and open the door, I immediately recognize that this is Mathews house, from the picture of a boy with his head down between his knees, sitting under s tree in the rain, hanging on the wall. My feet pad down the hallway and I see Mathew sitting at the counter, cup of coffee in hand, his bed head still as gorgeous as I remember.
"Sorry, dad wanted us in separate rooms." He says in his raspy morning voice.
"It's okay, I think it's nice that you dad still cares about stuff like that." I say with a genuine smile and he pulls me into a hug.
When we pull apart, I take a seat across from him and he looks into my eyes sweetly. "How'd you sleep last night?" He asks and I shrug.
"Okay, you?" I ask and he takes a sip of his coffee.
"Kept waking up cause you would push me really hard in your sleep, what were you dreaming about?" He asks, in a low voice, I just shrug, I don't remember having a dream last night.
"Is your dad awake?" I ask, peeking around the corner.
"Yeah, he's making breakfast, what do you want to do today?" He asks and I just shrug. I'm in a weird mood today, I think the grey clouds and gloominess have an affect. "We should go to the movies," he suggest and that sounds amazing. "You cool with that? We could watch that new movie, oh fuck, what is it?" He asks snapping his fingers and I laugh.
"Well.. Last I checked there's about twenty new movies so.. You might have to explain a little more." I say and he chuckles.
"You know what I'm talking about, so shut up." He says cockily in my face and I scowl at him playfully. Then he kisses my nose which totally brings the romance back. I pull him into a tight hug and he giggles, making me laugh. "Are you on your period because your being really moody." He concludes and I burst out laughing, but when I think about it, he might be right.
"Nooo." I say, all sit sarcastically and he laughs kissing my cheek.
"I don't care your so perfect." He says and I'm blushing like a maniac, which makes him laugh harder. "I mean really have you ever thought about yourself like hold on, come with me." He says pulling me by my hand down the hall to his bedroom.
He has a large mirror in his room right behind his dresser and he makes me stand in front of him. "Alright, this is like how I feel." He instructs and I giggle. "Okay, look at these cheek bones, I mean, even though your incredibly white, your smile and skin tone just completely brighten up my day, literally." He jokes and I laugh. "Then your laugh, oh my gosh, like please record that as my ring tone so I can listen to it all the time." He groans and kisses my cheek from behind me, "and your eyes, every time you get happy they turn this just beautiful hazel, and I want your eyes to be hazel forever." He says, wrapping his arms around my torso, I turn around and kiss him passionately.
"Breakfast is done love birds." Shane says knocking on the door frame, interrupting out kiss and we both pull away laughing.
I head down the stairs with Mathew trailing behind me, his many siblings and father are seated at the table, and are all talking non stop some to just individuals others of groups of the table, it's funny to watch, especially with the faces they make.I talk to Mathew and wonder how I was gifted with Mthew from the world, he's the sweetest boy I've ever met and I'm so lucky to have him.
