A/N: I'm writing this chapter with the hope that it will be something beautiful >.< I mean, I don't wanna sound cheesy or anything but yeah lol. So, the song link that I've posted to the right is something that I found on Youtube. It's very pretty and it's meant to be a theme song for Spirit so I thought to myself, how perfect. However, I wasn't 100% sure that I wanted to use it for this chap because I had some plans after what happens to Spirit, but I thought that it would go well with Spirit's transformation, especially because of how Stein views it. And so, I've decided to use it here and change my idea a bit, nothing major. I'm thinking 2 to 4 more chaps after this one depending on how far I can go with each chap. I don't want to rush, so i hope the storyline doesn't seem that way, but I will explain more about this in my last author's note on this particular story. I suggest that you listen to the song while you read this chapter, as I have written the chapter while listening to it. I think it really helps set the beautiful feel. Also, the photo to the right is sort of what the light would have looked like. Anyway, as always, please comment and vote! :) I always appreciate your thoughts~

Chapter Fourteen: Beautiful Light
Spirit's hand collided with Stein's, the impact was rather hard, but the feeling of Spirit's hand in Stein's was enough to send shivers through the boy's body. Spirit's hand was warm, sweaty, despite the chilled air and the falling snow, which clung to the boy. His crimson hair was all but soaked with his own perspiration, along with the melted drops that had fallen upon him. The atmosphere around the two of them seemed to sparkle, to shine, even in such a grim situation, and for a moment, the whole world vanished. It disappeared, and it was only Spirit and Stein, just the two of them. Spirit's desperate gaze glued to Stein's aweful expression.
Stein dare not look away from Sprit's face. He wanted to savor the moment, to lock it into his memory. It had been a very long time since somebody had tried so desperately to keep the boy safe, to understand him. And, he never wanted to forget the warm feeling he got in his chest when he thought about that. He never wanted to forget the fluttering sensation that erupted in his chest when he looked into those blue eyes that Spirit had. He never wanted that feeling to go away, he wanted to be there, right in that moment, for the rest of his life. And as Spirit's fingers intertwined with Stein's, his eyelids drooped the slightest bit, and the tiniest smile lifted the corners of his mouth.
And then he watched as Spirit's body became enveloped in a bright light. It was an electric light that exploded out from Spirit in the shape of a seven-pointed star. It was blue in color, yet ringed with silver. The light lit up Stein's eyes, making them shine beautifully. It was so bright that it illuminated most of the area, extending it's edges into the sky. The falling flakes shimmered and fluttered out away from where Stein held Spirit. The others, despite their downcast mood, watched in awe. It was a truly mesmerizing scene, like that out of a fairy tale. It was a bright light, one that blinded the beast, causing it to release Stein, who fell to his feet. He felt revived, finding new vitality. It was as if Spirit was being poured into his body, it was as if they'd become one. He tightened his small hand around what had once been Spirit's hand. Stein let his eyes close, taking in a deep breath, memorizing the feelings flooding into his mind, the feelings that did not belong to him.
He imagined that it was just him and Spirit, only the two of them. He imagined that, that would be the way it would always stay, if only wishes came true. And when he opened his eyes once again, the light had faded and he held in his hand a large scythe. The scythe itself was black, but it's blade was accented with a grey curve, which extended partially to the middle in pointed vertices. It was heavy, yet at the same time, it was feather light. It was a beautiful weapon. It was beautiful, in the same way that Spirit was beautiful. It was mysterious, and alluring. And, Stein could only gape at it, his eyes shimmering in the light of the rising dawn that reflected off of it. He brought his other hand up to gain a better grasp on the weapon.
