I sit there with my mouth gaping open in a pefect "O" his eyes look from left to right, scanning the people in the classroom.
I imeaditaly shut my mouth closed and look down at my notebook on the table, trying to let my hair block my face.
I hear Aria say a little loudly "Robert! Hey, come sit with me and my friend Brooke." I look up at her with disbelief clear in my eyes but she's not paying attention, her eyes trained on Robert as he walks to us slowly.
My heart thuds in my chest so loud I swear he could hear it as he approached and says "Hey Aria" kissing her cheek "Wow, long time no see Brookie." My eyes go wide at the name Ivan use to call me when I went to matches with the gangs.
Ignoring our teachers request we continue a quiet conversation and Aria looks between us "You two know each other?" I nod lightly "We've met before, he was one of Ivan friends."
Something flashes in Roberts eyes as he smiles at me "Yeah, friends."
Aria claps her hands together "Yay! Now it wont be too awkward. Dont you remember me talking about him Brooke? He's the one I've been telling you about and the one Jayden told you at lunch."
My breathing slows, if that was even possible "So. . . . you two are dating? I thought you just here."
Robert nods "This is my first day at the school. But I've been here for about a week just settling in, I met Aria out jogging late one night. I told her she shouldnt be out alone because there could be a creep following her"
I scoff and under my breath "The creep is you."
