Chapter 3: The fight over sweets

I spent hours jumping from tree to tree. At least this area is kind of the same. To be honest I can't really tell because I can't detail it well with my sight situation. At least this works on my focus and notice to detail. Guess you could call it "training" in a way.

Along the way, a lady told me which way the nearest village was. A place called Ferda. She said it was a small one but has a market place which was good enough for me. She was pretty hesitant at first. Probably because I'm wearing a black cloak and a mask. But hey, at least they have some blue color to them.

When I was around, there's no way a small village like this would stand. Kai must've changed the world. I can't wait to find him so he can tell me all he's achieved. I'm sure he was on his way to get me. Maybe that's why the ice accidentally broke. Every jutsu has a weakness; perhaps something he did caused it to break.

I made it to Ferda which luckily wasn't too far away from what the lady told me. She really saved me a lot of trouble. I'm not looking to be on the illegal side of life, but I snuck in. It's not like they were going to just let me walk in without questioning.

After finding the market place I realized a huge issue. What is the currency here? Even if I did know, it's not like I had anything. I kept on "looking". At this point this was only good to avoid running into everyone. I need to listen for anything to catch my attention. Suddenly my ears gave me hope.

"Free samples!" I heard from a lady. She was maybe in her twenties.

Perfect. I walked over and showed my gratitude. I didn't even care for what is was. I went a few steps away to where no one would see me. Right when it touched my tongue it hit me. What is this? It's so... sweet! These were so rare back then, and now they're giving them out for free! Maybe it's a good thing I don't have money, because I would buy everything that lady had. That's when I heard a commotion. I've only been here for about ten minutes, and there's already something happening? I attempted to just avoid it, but then I recognized her voice.

"I said only one sample. I'm sorry sir but if you want more you'll need to buy them!" she argued.

"I take what I want." The man said bluntly.

I can't tell what this guy looks like, but I'm not going to let this nice lady get shit on like this. Don't know what I was thinking but I walked in between them. The lady behind me was about to say something, but he beat her to it.

"I would stay out of this if-"

"Is it really that hard to just take one; or are you just trying to hide the fact you can't afford it," I said nonchalantly.

Man, I wish I could see his face right now. Barely a few seconds passed before he continued.

"Listen here you. You don't have much to talk. I don't give my respect to someone who hides behind a mask. So beat it before I shatter your mask and your bones."

His threats were amusing, because I've heard more put together ones than his. The one he just used sounds like the ones we use to use in academy when we were young. It actually made me chuckle.

"What are you laughing at!" he spat as he went on. "You really think a small girl like you can take on me? You've got to be kidding". He started laughing, and there were two guys behind him who joined in. Guess they're part of this pathetic gang too. "Also, you really think you can beat me with your eyes covered like that, you can't even-"

"Are you done? I'm getting bored, " I faked a yawn. It might be real at this point. If I'm honest I just got to put my faith into my taijutsu. This "seeing" stuff is already using enough of my chakra.  With my comment I'm sure he's about to lose his patience.

"Why you little-"

I sensed a fist coming towards me. I didn't even think I just grabbed his fist with one hand and twisted his arm. In less then a second he slammed into the ground. You've got to be joking. This is all this guy had. I haven't been this disappointed since... well never mind. I don't wanna talk about it. Anyways, guess it's time to have a little fun.

"Where are your manners? Haven't you been taught to never hit a lady?" If I was in his shoes I would die of embarrassment. Has anyone actually ever died of embarrassment? He should. Whatever, I need to focus on the other two guys now. People started to mumble to each other. Some even cheering for me. So much for not bringing attention to myself. Just then I sensed the two guys take a step towards me. Jumping forward I grabbed the collar of their shirt with each hand and slammed them to the ground. They laid there gasping for air. I wonder how the crowds facial expressions look right now. I couldn't figure out what they're saying. Confusion started settling in but a voice not recognizable caught my attention.

"What do we have here?"

The villagers went silent before I heard one of the villagers shout, "Kakashi of the Hidden Leaf!"
