Kakashi Hatake

Chapter 8: Experiments

Few days have passed. The girls name is apparently Kellina. She's actually around my age. Maybe if she didn't brag so much about her dad being rich so loudly, she would have less targets on her back. The mission is to escort her to the hidden leaf village.

Lee's training has been going well. It is very draining though. I've been saving energy during the day by just focusing on the ground area so I know I'm not walking off a cliff or into a tree. I surprisingly trust these guys to at least warn me if danger is nearby.

Suddenly, a kunai flew right towards Kellina. Kakashi blocked it and everyone got ready to defend. Well except me, because Kakashi told me not to get involved. At least it saves energy for me. I only have to worry if anything comes near me, so I'll sense for that.

"Show yourself! Face the beast of the leaf!" Guy shouted.

"Guy, that's making them less intimidated," Tenzo said to Guy.

Maybe Tenzo is the smart one one the group.

I've changed my mind, I want to sense what these guys can do. Not saying they're going to become enemies of mine, but just incase theres any misunderstandings.

Kakashi has been silence this whole time. He's evaluating the situation and location we are in. I then heard a laugh in the trees as a guy walked out and started talking.

"Wow the hidden leaf ninja were assigned to escort this brat. I would've never expected to see Kakashi Hatake and Might Guy escorting such a worthless object. Don't worry we'll take her out of your hands. My sword itches for the young girls blood."

This man was tall and strong looking. His hair fell to his shoulders. The headband he was wearing was a cloud with a slash through it. With sensing I can't tell color so I can't find out anymore about him until he starts attacking.

"Not going to let that happen," Kakashi said coldly.

"Finally! Some action! I've been waiting for this all mission!" Lee exclaimed.

"Very well, but I'm not in the mood for 'action' right now. We will meet very soon. It would be wise if you'd just hand me the girl for your own good. This is your only warning." With that he started running off. A gush of wind held us back.

"Wood style!" Wood style? Tenzo's arm grew out wood as he attempted it wrap it around the man. He was very close but the man managed to slip through with ease.

Lee started after him until Kakashi yelled at  him. "Lee wait! This is an escort mission. We must focus on Kellina, and protect her for the mission. We don't know this guys jutsu; he could be very strong. We should wait to take him on together."

The rest nodded in agreement. They continued walking with their guard up even more than before. I stayed behind like usual. Tenzo has peaked my interest.

"Yamato, can I speak with you?" I asked.

"Yeah sure," he said. He stopped walking and waited for me to catch up.

"Saw that wood style jutsu, that's pretty rare." I continued, "So what's your story?"

"The story of how I have wood style? Well I was a test subject for Orochimaru's own sake. He implanted the first Hokage's DNA into me as an infant. As well as others. I was the only one who survived."

Don't know what first Hokage means but I'm guessing that person used wood style. I laughed a little and I could sense his face have a confused look.
