The sound of a falling tree woke me up. What's happening out there? Then it hit me. It's that guy from earlier.

While racing through the trees my mind was racing. Why am I even going to check it out? It's not like they need my help. Even while thinking this I wasn't stopping.

I then saw where that tree fell. But where are they? My heart skipped a beat when I saw Goran's sword ready to pierce Kakashi's heart. His eyes were closed as if he was accepting fate.

What can I do? My jutsu can't reach from here, and a lightning clone won't stop the sword. Nor do I have enough chakra to do any of those.

Like before, my only advantage is speed. Racing forward I held my breathe just hoping to make it in time. The sword pierced through my stomach to the left of my belly button. Grabbing the blade with my hands to stop the sword from going into me any farther caused my hands to bleed. No matter how much it hurt, I did not budge. The sword was just barely exiting through my back.

I sense blood hit Kakashi's skin as his eyes were still closed. He widened his eyes when he saw me in front of him. With the sword piercing me instead of him.

"Rin this jutsu is unbreakable. Even if you get this guy to run away. The only way to break this jutsu is our blood touching the blade," he said with pain in his voice caused by the jutsu.

Goran ignored Kakashi's comment and focused on me.

"Interesting," he whispered before speaking to me directly. "Those who hide their pain are the most broken. I can tell you've already experienced this. Except you're special. You've experienced so much pain it's like you can't even feel it anymore. Learned to ignore it. You're whole life has been torture."

"Shut up," I whispered. A tear drop falling off my chin to where he could see it.

"Oh, did I hit a nerve? Don't worry, I will take all your pain away when I kill you. Any last words?"

"Go to hell," I murmured.

"What was that?" he asked. Amused by the situation.

"You don't even come close to deserving my last words."

Using almost all the energy I had left, my hands injected electricity into the sword. My body is use to it, but his isn't. The electricity that entered his hands went through his whole body paralyzing him.

"But, how?" he gasped while letting go of the sword.

His body soon hit the ground. My hands were still holding onto the swords blade. They bled all over it from resisting the guys push.

Slowly, I pulled the sword out of me. Blood soaked my robe and everything underneath. I turned to Kakashi and fell on my knees. Reaching out I gently took his hand.

"Rin..." he whispered.

While turning his palm upward, I gave him my last words because I knew I would pass out soon from the loss of blood.

"Kakashi, free the others and get out of here. Complete the mission. Sorry for getting involved. I hope you can forgive me someday."

I put the blade up to the side of his palm. As doing so I felt blood dripping off my chin from my mouth.

"Just leave me here. I'll catch up," I joked.

I gently cut the side of his palm and he was finally free from the jutsu.

My sensing went fuzzy. Dizziness took over as I fell forward. At least falling forward from my knees won't hurt as much. The grass will catch me as I slip away.

What's this? The grass feels like arms. Like I'm being carried away to the next life. Is it Kakashi? No. He's probably giving me crap right now for getting involved.

For once this is nice. Seeing just black. Feels peaceful and welcoming. Hopefully Kai and Tina are safe. Living their life to the fullest. Am I really going to die? I thought about my few good times in life before I slipped into the open arms of death.
