Chapter 22: Unexpected visit

He led me back to the village. "Where are we even going?" I asked.

"I'm surprised you're asking, because even if I told you, you wouldn't know what it is," he mocked.

"Yeah yeah whatever."

As we strolled through the village, some clothes caught my eye. He must've noticed because he commented, "You want those?"

"Nah, lets go."

"Kakashi!" Guy yelled from afar. He sprinted at us at top speeds. "There's a ninja who floated up from the river. He's recovering at the hospital. Lady Hokage would like to speak to us nowww-" Guy then dragged Kakashi away by the wrist.

How does that always happen? I let out an exaggerated sigh. So much for that date. A thought crossed my mind. I'll go check on that guy who came from the river. I already know where the hospital is from when I was there.

When I entered the building the nurses gave me alien looks. "Wheres that guy from the river?"

"The third floor, room seven," a nurse replied.

"Hey! He's not allowed visitors," the other nurse scolded the other.

"That's alright. Thank you for letting me know." Yeah like that's going to stop me.

Once exiting the building, I casually sauntered up the wall with chakra control. I rummaged through each room in attempt to find, well, whoever I'm looking for. Who looks like they've been tossed around in a river?

One door I opened had a teen around my age perk up upon hearing the noise. "You!" I exclaimed.

"Me?"  His face expressed a confused look.

"Yes you silly. I heard someone came in from being absolutely torn up from a river."

"Are you a nurse?" he asked. His hair was black, as well as his eyes. The brown skin tone he had was just like Tina's. He kind of reminds me of Tina and my brother combined.

"Of course not." I approached him and caught a glance of the necklace he was wearing. "You're from Kometzu!"

He hid his necklace abruptly. "I-uh. How did you know what the necklace means?"

"Oh, I'm just a history geek." I lied. "Well, how'd you end up in such a dumb?"

He sighed, "It's personal. I'm probably going to have to pay this village to escort me back. I won't be able to make it back by myself. Are you one of the ninja here?"

"Nope," I said nonchalantly.

"So, you're not a nurse, and you're not a ninja in this village. Then why are you here?"

"Well, isn't it obvious? I was bored and heard someone got beat up and was in the hospital. Anyways, we're friends now," I smiled brightly.

He chuckled in response. "I don't even know your name."

"My names Rin." I began to poke at his cheek. "You look healthy enough. I can escort you back if you want." My heart desired to see the village again.

"But I can pay this village-"

"You know who they'll probably give you? I silver, spiky haired ninja. Who will ditch you whenever the mushroom head one drags him off."

"I have a feeling something like that has happened to you," he chuckled. "Also, you never asked, but my name is Morishu."

I crossed my arms and jolted my head away. "Well, perhaps something like that did happen to me."

"Hey, you look like the guy in Rin's description," Morishu said.

"Huh?" I turned and Kakashi was right behind me. "Why you...keep sneaking up on me like that you'll regret it," I huffed.

"Oh I'll regret it? Besides, you could've given a better description of me." His eyes were locked on his book.

A burst of laughter escaped from me. Quickly I covered my mouth with my hand. "Sorry," I snickered, "look at you. I don't know how else I could've described you."

"Are you a ninja from this village?" Morishu asked Kakashi.

"Yes, and I overheard what you said about paying the village for an escort. I'll have you speak with the Hokage about that. Come with me."

On Morishu's way out, he flashed me a wink. Kakashi's eyes dashed from his book to lock on me. I gave off an innocent grin, and he guided Morishu out of the room.

That was awkward. It's not my fault the guy winked at me. Once again, I was alone by myself. This is all so boring, what am I going to do now? I'm suppose to be on a date right now, but instead I'm here in a hospital room.

A voice behind me cut into my thoughts. "Seems like you two hit it off."
