Pulling up at the drive way of the mall, I killed the engine of my car and swiftly got out to meet Mia who got here some minutes before me.
I quickly spotted her at the entrance of Victoria secrets. Typical Mia.
"Hey girl" i greeted and hugged her.
"Hii. There had better be a special occasion for this. I can't remember the last time we went out shopping."
I laughed at that cause it was true. Very true.
"I know I know. But there actually isn't a special occasion. I've just been in my feelings lately and I just felt we needed to spend some time. I would have invited Racheal but she wasn't picking up. Probably sleeping I guess."
"You know I still can't believe she's your surrogate. I mean it's good that you trust her and all but it still seems so wierd to me. Like honestly."
"I felt like that the first few weeks but now I guess I'm just used to it. And I really can't wait for my son to be born. Like literally."
I spoke with the biggest grin in my face. We continued to talk as we strolled in the mall.
"You seem very happy I'm so happy for you. Like genuinely happy for you and mase. You guys deserve the world."
Upon hearing masons name my heart sank and my smile turned into a big frown. He even spoils my mood without being here.
"Hope. Is something wrong."
"Uhh. No no everything is fine." Fucking perfect.
"Don't lie to me. I noticed your mood change when I mentioned mason. Is everything okay with you two. You aren't fighting are you?"
Fighting would be an understatement. I didn't know wether to tell Mia or not. I mean she was his sister but at the same time my best friend. I already told Racheal so I might as well tell Mia too.
" actually something happened. But We need to sit down and talk about it."
Concern washed through her face.
She pulled me to the near at cafe in the mall and we took our seats to talk.
I took a deep breathe. Well here goes nothing.
"I found out something." I started.
She urged for me to continue
"He's umm..... he's." Gosh this is as harder than I thought.
Deep breathes.
"I found out he's having an affair." I spoke. My voice barely a whisper but I knew she heard me because of the deafening silence from her.
I decided to continue. So I told her about everything that has happened lately. She kept quiet through out. Gasping here and there but no words spoken.
It felt like ages till I finished talking. Finally looking at her , her expression was shocked.
"I can't believe that. It can't be true a..... what?!"
"How do you feel"
She quietly asked me
"I'm... uh.."
I swallowed
"Okay" i breathe out.
"No you are not. I really can't believe this. Oh my gosh come here"
She pulled me into a warm embrace that I didn't think I needed until now.
"If you ever need anything and I mean anything. Then call me. I mean it"
It felt so good to open up and talk about it to Mia you know.
We stayed like that for about five minutes before we pulled apart and continued shopping.
We bought everything.
Gucci
Prada
Tom Ford
Givenchy
Yeezus
All of it.
Before we decided to call it a day.
So I went home feeling wayyy better that I was this morning. Ready to bring out the new me.
