Chapter. 24

Sakura's Pov

The last day of school came by quicker than I would have liked. The only reason was because after school ended Naruto was going to drill things about Kuruma into my head. While I was happy that he didn't push me away that night and I get to learn more about him, I didn't feel like listening to him talk for hours. Since that day Naruto only had three more transformation attacks. He seemed to know the cause of it but wouldn't tell me anything about it and just asked me to help him when they did occur. After the first one that I witnessed he kept asking me why I wasn't scared of him. I felt like if I told him I was just very intrigued by it he would've thought I was lying.

"Sakura did you hear us?" Ino pulled me out of my thoughts was Naruto was throwing fried at me. I looked at them confused. I hadn't realized I zoned out. "If Naruto's actually taking the time to plan out our summer you should at least listen before he goes all quiet again." I focused on Naruto while he continued talking again. Naruto had grown to be more open with us and I was happy, since that was my initial goal since the start of the school year. Without being able to help myself I started smiling like an idiot. They noticed but didn't say anything about it.

"Class, it has been wonderful teaching you for this past year. I'm happy that I was your last favorite teacher," the class chuckled. "Being serious again, I've seen lots of you come out of your shells and grow," Kakashi sensei looked towards me and Naruto," and others help them grow. Not trying to sound too cheesy I want you all to know that this is by far my favorite group of students. Since it's the last day, start planning your summer vacation!" While I held back tears the rest of the class cheered and started talking amongst themselves. "Sakura and Naruto can I see you both outside real quick?" I looked over at Naruto, who was sitting beside me, and he shrugged. Closing the classroom the Kakashi beamed at us.

"Sakura how have your last sessions gone?" I smiled telling him how much progress I've made. After the first transformation Naruto made me go see 'Grandma Tsunade' frequently so I could learn how to protect myself from his attacks in the future and to learn a bit about the relationship they had. Kakashi and Naruto would accompany me a few times.

"I understand that Naruto is going to be teaching you some more during the break?" We both nodded. Kakashi whistled. "Good luck with that, he's very strict. I'll be dropping by while I'm not away on business trips." He shoved us back in class. I had practically started living with Naruto since my mom said she was going on a two year tour for her job. The boy doesn't eat anything but ramen, and rarely some steak.

"Ino said she wants to drop us off today." He nodded, going back to watching anime on his phone. He offered an ear phone. "Wanna watch with me?" I nodded. Lately I couldn't help but feel that he was being nicer than usual. It made me suspicious. The bell rang and that concluded our last day in high school.

"Sakura! Naruto! Over here." I followed Ino's loud voice since I wasn't tall enough to see her. She was with Sai, who was now her boyfriend. I was ecstatic for her when she told me the news. On the way home Ino was blasting the music as loud as it could go, enjoying herself.  "See you later guys!" Ino waved us bye as she sped off.

"Home sweet home." I caught Naruto barely smile as he look at me. I laughed.

"Why are you smiling? What are you planning?" He pretended to be hurt.

"Oh Sakura, how could you think I would be planning something?" I gave him a look. "You're right, I am. I wanna take you somewhere. Go shower because you stink." I hit him in the shoulder as I went to his guest room which had become mine. I would say that Naruto and I became closer after he made me go see Tsunade. Though, there were times when he would go back to being distant.

During the shower I couldn't help but think that he was purposely letting me think that we had gotten closer when nothing had changed at all. It was probably just my insecurities talking. I hurried out the shower wanting to bombard Naruto questions about where he was taking me. "Well first I have to go pick up something and then you'll find out." He shooed me out the door.
