The quidditch game was in full swing with Gryffindor beating Hufflepuff by thirty points, the stands were crowded as Emily stood beside Rory in the Gryffindor stands. Everyone was cheering Austin as he rushed past with the quaffle.

“Go Austin!” Emily shouted as he shot another goal.

“Are you even allowed over here, Miss Malfoy?”

She turned around to see a pair of blue eyes watching her with amusement, “of course she is. She may be a Ravenclaw but she’s allowed to be here,” Rory stated gruffly as he pulled Emily closer to his side.

Sebastian chuckled as he leaned closer to Emily so that Rory couldn’t hear as the crowd continued to cheer. “I was only asking because I know a lot of Ravenclaws are over with the hufflepuffs or in their own section, I’d hate to see you be the outcast,” he whispered while shifting his hands so that something fell onto Emily’s scarf, that was placed beside her.

“I’m already an outcast, no need to worry about that,” Emily laughed before turning back to the game.

Sebastian smirked as she reached down for her scarf, she seemed to notice the candy on top and glanced at Rory before eating the piece of chocolate. Instantly Emily noticed a weird sensation, the chocolate instantly melted and there was nothing left but the taste of peanut butter and something she couldn’t recognize.

“You alright, Em?” Rory turned to her quickly.

“I’m fine! Stop worrying about me so much,” she stated gruffly. Rory’s eyebrows shot up with interest as he looked at her with surprise. “Sorry, I’m just tired,” she muttered.

Rory nodded once, studying her carefully before looking over her shoulder at Sebastian who seemed to be smirking slightly. They locked eyes instantly, Sebastian grinned and winked at him before they both turned back to the game which commenced with Gryffindor catching the snitch and winning the game.

“Looks like there will be a party in Gryffindor tower tonight,” Katelyn whispered beside Emily.

“Even if they hadn’t won, there would still be one,” Rory commented. A little ways away Rory noticed James Potter cheering from beside his brother Albus, he waved over when they noticed him but that was all the communication they had with each other—even though they were family. James understood how Rory must feel about losing his mother but Albus didn’t, Albus got the same look that most of their family got whenever they saw Rory and his father—a distant sympathetic look that said everything would work out over time. It wasn’t that he didn’t love his family, it was just hard to be around them, which was why this year he spent little time with them as possible.

                “They miss you, you know?”

He looked back to see Emily watching him, her eyes had that smoldering look she got whenever she tried to convince him on a topic, which she undoubtedly won.  He shrugged, “I miss them. But it doesn’t matter, I can’t be around them.”

“Why not?” She looked at him curiously as they slowly began to leave the stadium with Katelyn watching the grass move in the wind.

“Because every time I’m around them Albus gets this look that just…” Rory groaned.

“I call it the look of pity,” Katelyn offered, looking over Emily’s shoulder at him.
