Once it was revealed that Sebastian Brown had been behind the basic destruction of the school, students rushed to Austin to apologize for ever doubting that he'd ever do such a thing. It's been almost a month since the Halloween dance and everything that had happened, things were mostly back to normal. Except for Emily's memory, she still had major gaps, which were a huge concern at first but looking back and hearing everything that happened...Emily was actually happy to have no recollection, just knowing what she did made her sick and hate herself, but to actually remember it? It would possibly destroy Emily enough that she would demand to have the memories taken from her in the end.

"Hello? Emmie, are you in there?" Rory asked slightly concerned as he looked at his best friend poking at her dinner.

"Yeah...I'm fine," she said quietly. She looked up and noticed Katelyn studying her, along with Rory and Austin.

"Whatever it was, it's out of your system by now," Rory said, reading her mind.

"Are you sure?" Emily asked worriedly.

Katelyn gave a small smile from across the table, "yes."

"You're fine, Em," Austin said reassuringly.

Emily nodded, looking at her food, an arm slung around her waist. She jumped as Ryan appeared beside her.

"Hello, Emmie," Ryan grinned, his arm slipping around her waist, "Austin," he said nervously.

Austin smirked slightly, "hello Ryan." He slightly enjoyed that Ryan was so nervous around him.

Under the table Emily gripped Ryan's hand as it rested on her hip and smiled, Ryan grinned before making himself a plate of food with his free hand.

"Anyway, I was talking about how mum and dad wanted to go for lunch next Hogsmeade. And they want Ryan to join us," Austin began laughing when Ryan chocked on his food.

"I don't know..." Ryan began to refuse.

"I promise it'll be fine," Emily tried to coax him. "My mother is really nice."

"And your father...."

"Oh he's nasty," Austin smiled.

Ryan gulped slightly as his palms began to sweat, "Austin. Stop messing with him," Katelyn scolded the blonde.

Austin rolled his eyes and returned to his food, loving how nervous Ryan was always around him.

"I'll see you later," Ryan whispered before disappearing.

"Why do you have to terrify him?!" Emily glared at Austin pointedly.

"It's my job," Austin shrugged, "I'm your big brother."

Emily had a million responses at the ready, many focused on the past few months and the Sebastian incident. But she bit down hard on her tongue as she glared.

"Ryan doesn't need you to scare him."

"He does," Austin nodded. "I've tried for years to make sure no guy ever set foot near you, and now look. You're dating someone, people are going to think I'm losing my touch."

"Need I remind you-"

"Emmie, let's go to the library. I forgot to write that potions essay for tomorrow," Rory interrupted a bit rushed.
