"Her stomach has been torn and so we would need to stitch it. Baaki inke forehead pe teen stitches max.", Doctor Mathur said as he looked at Shehnaaz.
"Wo...Shehnaaz ki klaayi, I mean her wrist, it looks...", Sidharth couldn't speak much but the doctor understood.
"Her wrist just needs antiseptics. Ointment agar har din lagayenge toh her wrist will be just fine!", the doctor told Sidharth as he patted his back.
Doctor Mathur could see that Sidharth still wants to ask him something and although he didn't say it, he knew what Sidharth might be wanting to ask.
"We need to keep her here at least for 10 days or so. Waise toh hum jaldi ghar bhej sakte the but due to her fluctuating vitals and the blood loss, I think that she should be under observation!", Doctor Mathur said and Sidharth nodded.
"Also, kuch din tak we won't give her something to eat because it can stress her stomach and we don't want that due to so many stitches that she has.
And unke wrists pe thoda sa bhi stress nhi jaana chahiye. They are too weak due to the way they were tied.
So it would be better if you make sure that she doesn't use her wrists.
Inhe paani pilana yan fir kuch bhi Karna ho toh it would be better agar koi aur help karde", the doctor said.
"Doctor when will she wake up?", Sidharth asked in a low tone which was barely audible.
"Kuch Keh nhi sakte. Actually, Stitches lagane se pehle we drug the patients.
But inke case mein, she has been drugged too many times in just 24 hours.
The drugs weren't mild, they were really strong. So we need to get them all out of her system.
Once the drugs are discharged from her body, she might still remain unconscious for 2 to 3 hours.
It would be because of the medicines that we will give her.
So, accordingly she would wake up after 4 to 5 hours.
She might take more than that, but in general sense, itna hi time lagega! ", Doctor Mathur explained and then left after he wrote something in her medical register.
Baaz and Ahana were still inside with Sidharth while Kushal had gone to get some coffee for all of them because they hadn't eaten for almost 24 hours.
Sidharth took a few steps towards the hospital bed in which Shehnaaz was lying.
Although, she still looked pale but the pinkishness in her cheeks could be seen. Her lips were no longer dry and chipped.
The nurse must have sponged her because she looked clean and much better than before.
Her torn and bloody clothes had been discarded and she was wearing a lose hospital gown.
Sidharth traced his hand from her forehead to her chin. Her skin was still soft. He tucked the hair strands behind her ear.
His hand then traveled to her hair and he gently caressed her head, removing the bangs that covered her forehead.
Sidharth leaned into her and placed a kiss on her forehead.
He didn't know why, but he felt like kissing her forehead again and again to make himself believe that she was right here, with him, in flesh.
He still couldn't believe that for almost 20 hours, he had no idea of her whereabouts.
He didn't know where she was, how she was doing, whether she was safe or not, for so many hours.
He had never felt so helpless in his life. Never in his life had Sidharth been so clueless about what he should do.
