Next morning was their haldi and Shehnaaz's mother was trying really hard to make her get up.

"Sana puttar uth jaaa, 7 bak gye! 8 bje se haldi hai, uth!", mumma said as she sat beside her sleepy figure, caressing her head lovingly.

"Bass 5 minute aur!", Shehnaaz said in a groggy tone.

Her mother chuckled seeing the glimpse of the teenage Shehnaaz who hated getting up early for school.

As a little girl, she would always ask her mother whether she can have 5 minutes more to sleep and then end up getting up after half an hour.

Shehnaaz finally opened her eyes and sat up on the bed and that was when the reality struck her.

She was going to marry the love of her life today and no amount of happiness could match what she was feeling today.

She was sure and no girl, actually no human would have been this happy in their entire life.

Shehnaaz quickly made her way towards her room and Ahana was waiting for her already, with a worried face.

"Oye kahan thi tu?", Ahana asked as she saw Shehnaaz enter the room.

Ahana quickly made her way towards Shehnaaz and looked at her frantically.

"Kya hua?", Shehnaaz asked seeing how tense she looked.

"Yar tu mil hi nhi rahi thi aur ek ghante mein Teri haldi hai! Mein darr gyi kyunki tere haldi wale kapde bhi yahin the!", Ahana said without stopping to take breaths.

"Relax! Take long breaths. Mein kal mumma papa ke sath so gyi thi! Udhar se hi aa rahi hun!", Shehnaaz said and Ahana pulled her into a hug.

Ahana was getting way too emotional because after all it was her best friend, her soul sister, who was getting married today, in just a few hours.

After 50 minutes, Shehnaaz was all ready with a musturd yellow coloured lehenga and flowery accessories.

Her hair were pulled up in a braid because it was haldi and she couldn't afford to get her hair stuck to her face due to the liquid.

Sidharth and Shehnaaz were going to have their haldi ceremony at different lawns and so Shehnaaz sat on the cot like stool in the center of the lawn.

It was beautifully decorated and she could see only her family because obviously Sidharth's family would be there putting haldi on him.

On the other hand, Sidharth was wearing a lemon coloured kurta matched with white pajamas and he looked hot.

He sat down at the cot and terribly missed Shehnaaz. They both had not been talking the last time he met her.

He wondered if she was still angry at him for yesterday and this made him miss her more.

Sidharth felt upset thinking about the fact that he wouldn't meet Shehnaaz before 9 in the night today.

He grimaced when he felt preeti di and neetu di putting loads of haldi on his face and then on his arms.

"Di ye kya kar re ho!", he said, trying to wipe it off.

"Sidharth bachcha use htate nhi hai! Ye shagun hota hai!", Maa scolded him and well he let everybody do what his sisters just did.

If this ceremony was important for their wedding then there was no way that he was screwing it up just because he didn't like the paste.

After a while he felt that this paste was seeming very soothing against his skin and he wondered what was put into this paste.

Haldi was there, he knew for a fact but what other things, he wondered. Whatever it was, it was calming to his skin.
