Since Shehnaaz wasn't able to sit properly without bleeding, Dr. Anaya avoided going to her own office.
She sat on the stool near Shehnaaz's bed and Sidharth sat there too, looking softly at Shehnaaz.
"Whats wrong doctor?", Shehnaaz asked.
Sidharth didn't have the courage to ask the doc and Shehnaaz could see it. So, instead of Sidharth holding her hand firmly, Shehnaaz held him.
"Look, what I am going to tell you, it's a bit confusing and you might not understand and panic but you need to keep you calm!", Dr. Anaya said as she prepared them and herself to tell them what was wrong.
Sidharth and Shehnaaz nodded hesitantly, not knowing what else to do except listening to what was wrong with Shehnaaz.
"Sana tumhari pregnancy normal pregnancy nhi hai. It's an epitomic prganancy!", the doctor said and they both understood nothing.
The doctor saw their questioning faces and thought about elaborating, "Let me explain what it means!
Generally, when a fertilised egg is produced, it gets implanted in the lining of the womb.
Womb mein hi baby grow hota hai, develop hota hai aur wahin pe ek baby sahi se reh sakta hai.
But in your case, the egg hasn't been implanted in the womb. Aapke case mein jo fertilised egg hai wo fallopian tube mein hai.
And fallopian tune is no place for a baby to grow. Baby frow ho bhi jaaye shayad but the mother, she can't survive it.
Only 1 is 60 million mothers survive it and others either bleed to death or get abortion.
Fallopian tube is narrow aur wahan pr agar baby grow hua toh, stretch hone ki vja se, it can rupture.
When it ruptures, inner bleeding hogi and although I do have learned how sew up a ruptured tube, but I don't recommend this.
India mein ye pregnancy has never been successful and doctors really haven't tried. We have no experience in this.
Agar ye baby dilevery ke time tak survive kar le toh hum use safely bahar nikaal sakte hain, but we cannot say the same about the mother.
I am not sure that we would be able to save you, Shehnaaz, if you continue with this pregnancy.
Its fatal. There are high chances that it will kill you and if it doesn't then it might leave your organs damaged.
If we would have been in Israel, it might have been easy because they are experienced in taking care of ruptured tubes.
So, now you have to decide what do you want to do. You could get this baby aborted, and get pregnant after an year or two again.
Jin logon ki epitopic pregnancy hoti hai wo abort Kara ke, kuch saal baad firse successful ho jate hain, Shehnaaz".
The doctor left Sidharth and Shehnaaz in the room, alone, for sometime.
Sidharth couldn't even look at Shehnaaz who looked traumatised. It seemed as if her whole life had come crashing down in just a second.
Sidharth felt his heart crumble as he thought about whether to get the child aborted or not.
If the choice was between having a baby or having Shehnaaz, he knew what he was choosing.
If Shehnaaz were to be alive and healthy, then they can always try and get pregnant again but If Shehnaaz were to die, then he looses her forever.
If he and Shehnaaz choose their child then there's a high chance that he is never having his Shehnaaz back.
There were high chances of never getting to touch her again or hold her in his arms, there were chances of never saying I love you to her.
