Pippa's POV
I knew I couldn't just leave Jess alone, so I had to take her in, even if it was only temporary. She was a really sweet girl, and she didn't deserve how her mother treated her. Who cares if she's bisexual?! That should change nothing, especially what her mother thinks of her. We got to the apartment and I started to make some food. Jess was sitting on the couch, and looking around the apartment in awe. I heard her gasp a few times. "Wow." She muttered. "What?" I asked as I placed a pizza in the oven and turned it on. "I just can't actually believe I'm in your apartment." She shuffled round to look at me. "I saw you in Hamilton in your second Broadway show, you were Incredible! You've been my idol for so long and to be speaking to you right now is... it's a dream come true." I could tell I was blushing. Nobody had ever actually said how much I mean to them to my face before. "Thank you Jess, you're welcome to stay as long as you like."
After we'd finished our pizza and an entire tub of ice cream, it was around 3am. "I have a show at 4 tomorrow so I better get some sleep. Feel free to stay up as long as you like. The guest room is the last door on the left, and the bathroom is opposite. Goodnight." I said with a smile and went to get ready for bed. I must've fallen asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow because I woke up and couldn't remember anything after that. I looked over at the clock and it read 11.30am. Although I didn't have to be at the theatre until 1, I still needed to get up. The sun was streaming through the curtains and my window was very slightly open so I could feel the cool Autumn air. I threw on some jeans and a red jumper and went into the kitchen.
"Morning Pippa." Jess said as I walked in. She was sitting at the table eating some cereal and looking down at her phone. "Hi Jess, sleep well?" I asked. She nodded as I poured some coffee. "Can I have some?" She asked. I got out an extra mug and poured her a cup, then set it down in front of her. "Thanks." She said. "So, I don't have to be at work until 3, what do you wanna do?" She turned her phone off and set it down. "I don't know, what do you feel like?"
"Well I was thinking we could catch a movie and then grab some food, sound good?" She nodded. "I'll go get ready." She said excitedly and got up. "And Pippa, thanks again. For everything."
"It's no problem Jess, nobody deserves what happened to you." I got up and cleared away our breakfast before heading to get ready. As I was about to walk into my room, I could hear Jess singing as she gt ready. I slowly crept up to her door and opened it very quietly so I could hear.
"You published the letters she wrote to you, you told the whole world how you brought this girl into our bed!" She sang. I laughed as quietly as I could. I let her sing for a bit but then couldn't contain myself. "Let future historians wonder how Eliza reacted!" I joined in, bursting through the door. She jumped round, startled, but laughed and then we continued singing together. After we had finished, we both collapsed onto her bed out of breathe from all the dancing around. "Jess, you're an amazing singer." I said sitting up. "Really? Everyone always tells me I'm bad." I was shocked. She was clearly incredible, and her voice was so clear. "I'm serious! You're voice was meant for Broadway, you could go a long way." She blushed as her smiled reached her ears. "Come on, let's get ready to go, we can sing some more in the car to the cinema." I left her room and finally went to mine and got ready.
(A/N; this next bit will be shit lmao but I wrote the first bit last night when i was rlly motivated, but now i have no ideas left. bare with me, the next chapter will be wayyy better)
We left the apartment just after 12 and headed to the car. The cinema was about a 20 minute drive, so we chatted and sung along to Hamilton the whole way. "He will never be satisfiedddd!" We finished as I parked the car. "That was fun. Oh and I forgot to ask, what movie are we seeing?"
"You'll have to wait and see." I said with a wink. She rolled her eyes at me and we both laughed. \We walked up the few flights of stairs and into the cinema. I went up to buy some food before we went in. "Can you tell me yettt?" She begged.
"Fine. We're going to see (A/N im too lazy to come up with a movie so use ur imagination lmao)" She gasped. "I've been wanting to see that for ages! Thank you!" We walked in and sat down at our seats ready for the movie to start.
"That was incredible." Jess said as we walked out. "It was! Now, let's go get lunch. I'm feeling burgers, what about you?"
"Burgers sound great!" We walked down the street towards the burger place and sat down. I got a cheeseburger and Jess got just a normal hamburger. We chatted until 3 until I realised what the time was. "Shit, I have to be at the theatre in 30 minutes! Let's go." I payed and we ran out to the car. When we got back I only had 5 minutes, but luckily the theatre was just down the the road. "Jess, do you want to stay here or come with me?" I asked, running around to try and grab everything I needed. "Are you kidding, I'm coming for sure!" I laughed as I hopped around trying to get my shoes back on. "Okay, let's go." We ran out the door and I quickly locked it before we made our way to the theatre.
