Chapter 19; This Bitch

so this chapter is like a few months after the previous cos i have some ideas but i cant do them directly after the previous hehe anyway enjoy :)

Jess's POV

"Bye guys!" I shouted as Eliza and I left the theatre after today's rehearsal. We were only a few months away from opening night and everything was starting to get more intense. I had joined Eliza's school, which was great because we got to be around each other all day. It wasn't a normal school; it started at 1pm and ended at 6pm because most of the people there are in a show and have rehearsal in the mornings. Samantha also went to our school, and she was in most of our classes. She was trying really hard to be friends with us, even though we'd told her multiple times that we were fine on our own. 

"Okay class settle down. We have a new student today!" Mrs Franks said. "I hope Samantha likes her so she'll stop bothering us." I whispered to Eliza. She giggled. "Eliza, Jess, please be quiet." We blushed and looked towards the front. "I hope you all like her! Kayla do you want to come on in!" I stopped. Kayla. She better not be- "Hi everyone! I'm Kayla Rodgers." I looked up to see her standing there smiling. She looked me straight in the eyes and smirked. "Jess isn't that-" Eliza began. "Yep. What the fuck is she doing here?" I mumbled. "There's an open seat next to Jess if you would like to sit there Kayla. She's just in the corner on the right." Kayla walked over and sat next to me, a smug look on her face. "Hi Jess. Long time no see huh?" I gave her a death stare and looked away. "What the fuck are you doing here?" I whispered. She took out a pen and a notebook and set them down. "I missed you." She said in a mocking tone. "Yeah right. You just want to piss me off." Kayla laughed and I shivered. That was the same laugh she used on THAT day when she walked out of the bathroom. I moved closer to Eliza and grabbed her hand under the table, hoping Kayla couldn't see. "Are you okay?" She whispered. I shook my head. I felt like I was gonna cry but held it back the best I could. 

The bell went and I picked up my bag and ran out as quick as I could. I kept running until I felt Eliza grab my arm. "Jess hold up!" She shouted. I stopped turned to face her. "Are you okay?" I shook my head and started to cry. "Come on." Eliza lead me to the bathrooms and pushed me into one of the stalls. "Okay. You're gonna be okay. We won't take any notice of that bitch alright?" I nodded. She reached out and took both of my hands. "Can you breathe?" She asked and I nodded. "Okay good. Do you feel like you're gonna have a panic attack?" I shook my head. "I don't think so." "Good. Do you wanna call Pippa or Jazzy or someone?" I took out my phone. "I'll text Pippa. She's at rehearsal right now so she wont be able to answer any calls." I texted her quickly.

Jess: You know that bitch Kayla who bullied me? Yeah well she joined my school today. Eliza calmed me down so I'm okay right now though.

I pressed send and put my phone away. "Okay. I'm okay. Let's go get lunch." We left the toilets to see 2 people we did not want to see together; Kayla and Samantha. "Oh hey Jess, hi Eliza! This is Kayla. She's really nice you should hang with us!" Samantha said walking towards us. "We're just gonna head to the cafeteria, but thanks." I said and we walked away. "If those two become friends then I'm dead. And I mean that literally." Eliza stopped. "Jess you will be okay. We'll avoid them at all costs. We'll avoid Sam at rehearsals and Kayla at school. Don't worry, I'm here for you." I smiled and we carried on walking. I bought a slice of Pizza and song orange juice and Eliza just got a ham sandwich. We sat down and began to eat when my phone started buzzing. It was Pippa ringing me. "Hi Pips. What's up?" I said. "Jess are you okay? I got your text. Has she bothered you? If you need me to pick you and Eliza up I can. And-" "Pippa calm down. She hasn't bothered us too much yet. Don't worry. If something happens I'll call you okay?" "Okay. See you later. Love you." She hung up and I continued eating. 

Next period was History, my favourite. Eliza and I walked there together and took our seats. "Okay class today were gonna be starting a new unit. Has anybody heard of Alexander Hamilton?" I looked over at Eliza and smiled. This was gonna be an easy unit. We were about 5 minutes into the lesson when Kayla walked in. "Sorry I'm late. I'm new and didn't know where the class was." She said in her stupid voice. I rolled my eyes at Eliza and she chuckled. "that's fine. Take a seat anywhere." She came over and sat in the empty seat in front of me. "Oh hi Jess. Didn't see you there." She said. "Don't be stupid Kayla." She turned to me and looked me right in the eyes. "you call me stupid one more time and I will make sure you don't get home tonight." She smiled and turned back around. "Excuse me?!" Eliza said a little too loudly. "Eliza settle down and listen please." Mr Hugo said. "Sorry." She replied before reaching over and tapping Kayla's shoulder. "What the fuck did you just say to her?" She whispered. Kayla smirked. "I said if she calls me stupid one more time she won't get home tonight, now mind your own business bitch." Eliza raised her eyebrows, looking like she was ready to beat Kayla to death. "Eliza don't. It's okay." I said. She sat back down and I tried to focus on my work, but it was kind of hard with Kayla kicking me in the shins every 5 minutes. I ignored her and just kept writing.
