Architect

"What makes a perfect house?"
Broad walls with the toughest roof.
Beautiful scenery at the windows to look at,
And finally a welcoming mat.

All these things, yet i don't feel at home.

"What makes a perfect home?"
Loving couple with their little lookalikes,
Cuddling with eachother like it's their rights.
Until the sun passed down.

All these things, yet why i'm different?

"What makes me unhappy?"
Seeing you in one room,
Yet i don't see you fondly.
Strangers to eachother but you birthed me.

I wanted to reach for you,
Calling you my own, like everyone else's shoes.
But why can't i love you like how should?
I always see reasons to hate but never been able to understood.
Why are we too far apart?
Without being parted at all?
My house is here but my Home is not.

"What makes you like this?"
I wonder as i see as you grow,
Then i realize we are not in the same boat.
Because i can't see the love.

I wanted to wrap my arms around you,
Assuring you to trust me without needing a proof.
But i can't stop breaking down.
I always see the reasons to love but never been able to understood.
Why am i so far away?
While you are still in my way?
My house is here but i failed to make a home.

We argued, argued, until the other stopped.
Letting the string that tangled us get cutted.
Asking the reasoning behind our action,
While our chemical have been without the fractions.
We kept bleeding with the scars that's been given,
Slowly killing the home without noticing we are the assassins.

If you leave me, you're taking a piece of me with you.
Leaving me in million regrets without a clue.

If you are still there,
Put your hands in the air.
Just once again, i want to see you there.
I don't want to let this getting more further.
Don't let the gate locked tight,
Let us find the missing keys to the lock.
This time let me draw the blueprint.

I will draw a shielding walls for us,
Use the fairest steel so it wouldn't rust.
The broadest window to see the outside,
Letting beautiful plants grow at the side.
Placing a door through the aching heart,
Letting it warm with our fireplace in the cold.
Strong roof to protect us from the storms,
Finally, no more invisible bourne.

I fell in love with your architecture,
This time, i'm perfecting it with my structure.
You are skilled in your crafts,
But, let me fix your hidden away drafts.

For the people who sees you differently,
Let me show it to them you deserved love openly.

You're the Architect to our House,
I'm the Construction to our home.

You're the Architect to our House,I'm the Construction to our home

This poem is based on real life experience of a child that is going through a Broken Home.

We couldn't fix it to match the stereotyped perfect family consisting a complete parent who are loving, kids that is growing up well and ect, ect, ect.

Every family always has perfections and imperfections, but the term "broken" will never define who we are, we are all hurting because of the unchangeable event but it doesn't mean it couldn't be change into a better version of the event.

Let the time slowly heal your heart, mend your soul, and keep trying to be a better person because you are.
Let forgiveness be the way that paved your route to be happy.
Maybe the way to heal is from you too, instead of wishing revenge, you can even mend the scars to be not more bleeding than they are before.
The best revenge, is to never wishing someone feel it too instead showing that you are never letting it all hurt you no more.

No matter how hard it was, you're not at fault and you're never the victim. you are a survivor, strong survivor, survivor who deserves all the love world could give.

Broken Home but never a Broken Person because of it.
