Played Myself

The focus I always had in my life,
Is never far from dreaming about wealth.
I'm complicated to the core,
But everything is fixed if I scored.

If I had a decent title to my name,
I won't mind to play some games.
In my reality, all I had is a dime.
Not acknowledging the progress of time.

I keep looking for clues,
So I would stop lamenting in blues.
I have to pay the rent for living,
As my innocence is stripping.
My standard is the tallest rook,
And that's the plan that I took.
Please just focus for once,
What is it that you want?

Can't you just see what's in front of you?
Why your rules have to be true?
I so badly want to take you apart,
But I can't even avoid my own darts.

I'm being played by myself,
Never got out from my shell.
The unspoken thoughts are ringing,
And my heart is ready for eating.

Face the fucking truth,
Stop grieving over the missing tooth.
You'll burst into flames,
And there'll be only regrets remained.
Can I even stop the mental strife?
Am I sure I can get out there alive?

Well, what's the odds if you decide to chase?
On the road you'll get a hang of the pace.

You might not be an exception,
But moving forward is always an option.

You might not be an exception,But moving forward is always an option

Well, hello there. It's been awhile hasn't it? This poem reflects my life situation right now, and I hope to write here again once in a while.

Niki deserves it all with this song, I've been playing it 24/7. It's hella good, even though she's talking about some dudes but hey, I kinda see it reflects on myself too, hence the poem :>

If someone is still reading, I hope you have a good day 🤍
