Chapter 8

* Alice's P.O.V *

Why is he getting closer? Why are his lips puckering up? Omg he's going to kiss me what do I do?! Calm down Ali he's not gonna do it.

I layed there fighting with myself trying to figure out why Skylar kept getting closer. I probably looked crazy with my eyes all huge and stuff. Not gonna lie ever since Sky began caring for me I began to feel again. Yeah I know what you're thinking What kind of person doesn't feel? Well believe it or not but I made myself like that so that I couldn't and wouldn't get hurt.

Are you seriously thinking while he is about to kiss you?
Oh shut up I'm freaking out and when I freak out I babble!

I'm insane. I swear I am insane. Suddenly I froze in place when I felt his lips touch my cheek, then my forehead, chin, eyes, and nose. I looked at him confused wondering why he just did that. I guess he understood my face expression because the silence was soon filled with his voice.

"I...uh...I wanted to um k-kiss your bruises away" he said stuttering

"Why?" I asked confused

"Well um I was thinking that...never mind we should rest, it's been a long day"

"Okay"

I snuggled into the covers earning a chuckle from Skylar I stared at him and he just shrugged. I closed my eyes and suddenly fell into a deep sleep. A sleep that was dreamless and so peaceful, it's been awhile since I've slept without interruptions and I'll admit it, it was amazing.

* Skylar's P.O.V *

As I got closer I felt her freeze in place I kissed her cheek, then her forehead, chin, eyes, and nose. She looked at me confused she was probably wondering why I just did that. There was an awkward silence between us which I soon got rid off by speaking.

"I...uh...I wanted to um k-kiss your bruises away" I said while stuttering

"Why?" she asked confused

"Well um I was thinking that...never mind we should rest, it's been a long day"

"Okay"

I watched her snuggle into the covers. She looked so cute doing that I wanted to just grab her and cuddle with her. Soon enough she fell into a deep sleep, I could hear her heart rate slowing down as well as her breathing. I looked at her face, she looked so peaceful like if she had no worries at all. I got comfortable and pulled her towards me as soon as I did she responded by snuggling against me with a slight smile on her face which caused me to smile I love her so much, woah did I just say that I love her?! Yes you did, well do I? I felt her move against me and heard her say something in a slight whisper

"What did you say?" I asked her in a low tone

"Thank you for being there for me Skylar, I appreciate it, I appreciate you." She said

My heart started to beat fast

"You're...you're welcome Alice"

"Sweet dreams Sky "

"Sweet dreams Alice"

The way she said my name made my heart flutter and that's when I knew the answer to my own question.

Did I love her?

Yes. I did.

And I will admit it to her soon.
