Jack kept checking his wristwatch.

He was anxious about meeting Zach today.

"Mr. Avery?"

The curly head looks to his class.

"Is everything okay? It's the twentieth time you check your watch in five minutes."

"I'm okay. You should be focusing on what I'm saying, not me checking the time."

"Kinda hard when you loose track of what you say while you check the time."

"Cmon Mr. Avery, tell us."

"Liberty saved someone from being ran over and they're buying her ice cream today." He immediately spills.

"And you like the person?"

"I don't-"

"Stop capping us Mr. Avery, it's written all over your face."

"Why would I like them anyways? I just saw them once."

All the students look at him with an unconvinced face.

"You're wearing the same shirt you wore when the mayor came in to watch one of your classes."

"So? I don't have an unlimited number of dress shirts."

"But it means that it's one of your nice shirts-"

"Which means you wanna cause a good impression.-"

"Therefore you like them!"

"That isn't correlated. Just because I wanna cause a good impression-"

"So you wanna cause a good impression!"

Jack sighs.

"Y'all make me older, I swear."Jack sighs.

" Can we know their name at least?" The curly head shakes his head.

"Out of question. I'm telling y'all too much about this already."

"Class dismissed."

"Good luck on the date Mr. Avery!" The students say as they walk out.

"Not a date!"

Jack packs up his things and makes a beeline to his car.

He quickly picks up Liberty and makes his way to the park, where he agreed to meet the brunet.

"Jack?" The curly head turns around and smiles.

"Hey." He says timidly.

"Zach!" Liberty runs up to him and hugs him tightly.

"Hey Libby...how are you hun?"

"I'm craving ice cream."Zach was taken back.

" Liberty Rose. " Jack warns.

"I like her already." The brunet chuckles.

"I'm sorry, I don't know where she got that bluntness from."

"And it's that bluntness that'll take her far." Zach nudges him.

Liberty grabs Jack's hand.

"Okay, let's go."

The three walk to the ice cream store that was close to the park.

"How old are you?" Liberty asks Zach.

"I'm twenty three sweetheart, what about you?"

"I'm ten but I turn eleven May twenty eighth."

"Your birthday is a day after mine, that's so cool." The girl giggles.
